5/5Scanning feature for brand new phones don’t work
I’ve been using this for over five years. It’s been working fine for me. I have an old phone XR and it scans the tickets perfectly and so does the iPad. I bought a brand new phone in April 2024 and all of a sudden I can’t scan anymore. Doesn’t mean this app is worthless. It’s just a bug that needs to be fixed, because something doesn’t work once doesn’t mean you should give it a one star. you should report it to the lottery office either call them or send them an email. This still works on the iPad and this still works on my old phone for some reason my new phone 15 pro will not work

1/5Ridiculous
Wow just when you think that Ohio Lottery couldn’t get any worse, they go & somehow find a way to do just that. This latest update is a total joke, just as it is when someone buys a scratch-off for between $5 - $50 and actually wins multiple times on same ticket, only to discover each win is $1 $1 $1 $1 $1 $1, even tho each “win” should be no less than the price of the ticket itself. This only has turned so many people I know against buying these types of tickets or from the lottery all together. And now you go & update your app & now force people to create an account & submit their IDs just to scan their tickets is ridiculous & does nothing to help your customers & is no real way of increasing security. Not everyone wants to have a lottery account so they can collect 10,000 points ($10,000 of losers) so they can get a coffee cup as a reward.

2/5Ohio needs to look at what other states do.
UPTATE: Got what I wished for and they somehow made things worse. Can’t scan without logging in, and it doesn’t keep you logged in. No ability to play through the app like nearly every other state nearby. I’ve gone to buying my tickets online from a 3rd party website. I travel between Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois weekly. The other two state’s lottery apps are FAR superior to Ohio’s. Camera issues…server issues…reward and cashing issues. They need to start over with a full redesign of this app that’s largely been untouched in many years. Come on, Ohio. You’re making enough on the lottery that you can spend the 2-300k to have this app re-done.

1/5New verification system very frustrating user.
Since the Ohio Lottery application was updated two weeks ago, I’ve had horrible experience trying to help my elderly parents validate their accounts with their drivers license. I was successful updating my account No problem, I’ve tried everything called Ohio Lottery even went in a local Ohio Lottery regional office, but they were all no help. I made sure the driver’s license was not expired, their names were spelled correctly, and their addresses were correct. I helped verify their account at the end of January but after this latest update the application forced to verify their accounts again which been unsuccessful for weeks trying to verify their account again, which I think the system is flagging because their drivers license were already used once. Ohio Lottery has not been helpful at all and the latest update is claiming to fix all the bugs…I tried reaching out to the third-party verification company persona. They’ve also not been helpful claiming I need to reach out to Ohio Lottery first.. It’s been very frustrating as it’s clear that there are glitches not being fixed or detected…

5/5It’s my favorite app!!
I use it all the time. I love that the mobile cashing is now and option and I’m excited to start using it. If I had a wishlist, I would most definitely want to purchase my tickets through the app. I am confined to my house during covid-19 and have very very limited access to an authorized lotto printer. The town is shut down and very limited hours if they are open. If I link my info to the account to cash in my tickets, wouldn’t it make sense to let me purchase them through the app too? Just a thought!! I love the app either way! Thanks for having it!
