4/5Excellent Watch app!
Quick update: one thing I would love is if the hearts you earn saved up - right now, you have to remember to feed your Nomi when the heart ring is full, which can mean pausing in your workout. If you forget to do this, you could go through an entire workout and have burned enough calories for two or three hearts, but you still only get one. This app is adorable, fun, and motivates me to stay active throughout the day. The Tamagotchi-like critter is so cute, and I hate seeing it sadface, so I want to stay active to be able to keep feeding it. When I first got the app the only way to get hearts to feed the critter was using steps, which was pretty difficult with the current ‘stay at home’ restrictions (even though I’ve been exercising daily, my step count is terrible). However, the developer was very understanding and responsive, and quickly released an update allowing you to use calories instead. I love the app and really the only thing I can think of to improve it at this point would be to make it actually possible to pet the critter. (If it’s happy, you can tap it and it does a little happy nudge type movement, but you can’t give it scritches.) I’m not sure how feasible this is for a cute little watch app (don’t know how hard it would be to make it that interactive or whether the watch can even support such a thing), but it would be cute. TL;DR, if you’re a sucker for cute critters to motivate you to exercise, GET THIS APP!

5/5Update
Hello again! I have had Nomi for over a year now and I LOVE the app! I am currently on my 18th Nomi named Alto. She is on 13 days and thriving. Anyways, I just wanted to retouch on a few things. First, there seems to be a problem with the “friends” feature on the app. Multiple people have been complaining on the Reddit page about their Nomi friends “disappearing” and when they try to re add them, it won’t let them. I have also been experiencing this issue, which saddens me because I love seeing my friends stats every day. My dad also has the app, he is on 281 days with his Nomi, and his friends have disappeared too. Just wondering why this is happening and hoping you can fix it. The second thing I wanted to touch on is that we need an extra heart. Like, we REALLY need an extra heart. As the Nomi gets older, it gets harder and harder to fill the ring, and yeah you have the Mini Game, but that only gives you so many hearts before you run out of those too. So if we had an extra heart, we wouldn’t have to worry as much about the Nomi dying, and we would have more time to get the ring full. Just an idea, but I hope you consider it. The final thing I wanted to touch on is that we need an update! I checked the app on the App Store a few times and it says you have not given the app an update in a few years, and yeah I completely understand that you are probably a very busy person, but every now and then, if you could just update the app and add a few new features, that would be realy cool. Thanks.

4/5Nomi keeps dying if watch battery dies
Update two: Got him to 104 days now and my daughter is pretty upset that he will no longer evolve. It would be cool if when they fully evolve, they could go into stasis and you start a new one with the old one able to care for itself. Just so we can try to evolve a new one differently and not worry about the old one dying also. Update; made it to 33 days, had full health and had to connect my watch to my new iPhone after it had a software issue and needed replaced. Didn’t even do anything to the watch besides pair it to the new phone and it made it completely restart my nomi. Like restart like it was a new app. My watch wasn’t even restarted or reset, it was just paired to my new phone. My nomi had 3 stars when I went to bed last night, woke up this morning to my watch dead, charged it an hour only to find my nomi dead. This is the 8th time this has happened. If my nomi is full health, my watch dies and it takes less than 5 hours to be back on, like it dies at work or while running errands, then nomi dies also. They should stop the hearts fading and nomi dying if the watch is turned off or dead. I’ve never made it past 23 days because my watch dies and nomi dies soon after. Only reason he’s ever died is because my watch died so I plug it in while I’m sleeping. Watch isn’t even powered on when he dies.

5/5Some pretty good soundin suggestions
3rd time I rated this game, just cant get enough of it, I adore this and based on the experience of keeping an 85 day old nomi, I have some pretty cool suggestions that could be cool!! 1. The sleep feature is super amazing! But I often find it a bit stressful when my nomi is at half a heart and I have to wake up at 6:00 just to keep him alive, my suggestion would be to add a food plate, where you can place a Heart that nomi will eat as soon as he wakes up taking the stress of him being dead as soon as one wakes up. My second suggestion is something that isn’t as needed as the first one but a way to customize your nomi with hats or clothes sounds amazing to me and would bring lots of variety, there would be a shop to buy cool clothes for nomi that could be purchased with nomi coins (a type of currency) that you earn by keeping nomi alive, 1 day= 1 nomi coin, the outfits would be fairly cheap like for example 5 to 10 nomi coins. Final suggestion, I’ve said this on a past review and I will just say it again just in case, a leaderboard would be an amazing feature in my opinion, a way to compete to have the longest living nomi with people around the world sounds very amazing to me. I cannot stress enough how amazing it is that the developers listen so carefully to feed back and sincerely you guys have my deepest respects, keep up the good work and I hope some of my suggestions might be considered, I will patiently wait for a response from you amazing people, keep doing what you do best and good luck ;)

3/5I love it but it needs some work
I absolutely love Nomi, but it could use some more features for flexibility. I have chronic illness that makes my “best” less than other peoples’ “best”. Even on casual, it’s been really hard to keep my Nomi alive. I think the solution to this is allowing people to set custom energy/step goals. Of course it would allow people to “cheat,” but who cares? It’s not a competition sport, they’d only be “cheating” themselves. A tool for our own betterment needs to be flexible to our personal goals. No one can set a goal that everyone can meet. Other changes that would help are giving Nomi more total hearts to allow some buffer time if we forget our watches somewhere (I left my watch at work overnight and my Nomi was dead the next morning despite being fully fed, I was very upset because I managed to keep that little guy alive for 74 days despite the difficulty!) or if we’re sick that day and can’t exercise much. To that end, I agree with other commenters that a “pause”. Feature would be nice. I also really think increasing the sleep time from 6 hours to 8 would help. I mean, who only sleeps 6 hours? I sleep 10 hours and my Nomi is always nearly dead by the time I get up. The average person sleeps 8 hours so I think it makes more sense. Or allow us to set custom sleep and wake times. Again, love the concept and the artwork is really cute, but it really needs these changes to become more functional and less of a source of stress.
