   This app has legitimately been a game changer for me. I can use it with my AirPods while at the laundromat to be able to read (brown noise for this), while in the grocery store so I don’t experience sensory overload (I have a major sensory overload issue)(brown noise for this), I use it every single night if my life for sleep with my HomePod (pink noise is usually my preference for sleep but I occasionally alternate between green and brown as well), I also have ADHD and use this app a lot just from my phone speaker or with my AirPods when I’m just having trouble concentrating in general but especially if I can’t focus while I’m reading. (Brown noise tends to be my go to for this as well). I also started using this app when babysitting for my best friend and found that pink noise is a miracle worker for babies nap time and sleep time. That friend now uses pink noise in their babies room every single night and has noticed a significant improvement in the amount of time staying asleep and overall quality of sleep for the baby 🖤 All in all I couldn’t be happier that I paid for this app. I’ve used several different apps and this one seems to create the most consistent, high quality sounds. I highly recommend it to anyone! I will say, if you’re using it for sleep, I highly recommend a speaker of some sort because phone speakers just don’t quite do the trick for me personally. Although, you could have a totally different experience; I just wanted to put that out there.

2. 5/5Used for a full year/ not a paid review

   I searched a while for an app that was simple to use at bedtime, a dark screen with NO SKIPS in sound, and zero pop-up ads. A skip keeps me from going to sleep, and can absolutely wake me up if I hear it. I find myself listening for them instead of relaxing. Same for ads, they light up the screen too much. As I type this, I realize that I have a lot of sleep requirements. :) Other noise apps I’ve tried, as well as a plug in noise machine I bought, have been frustrating overall. I don’t usually pay for apps, but this one is worth the $15 annually. I currently use the brown noise to help drown out snoring and city noise. There is also a timer that can be used to turn the sound off to help you wake naturally.

3. 5/5Just buy it!!! Best app for brown noise

   Seriously, just buy this app! It is so easy to use and pretty to look at. I legit use this app every. single. day. I have ADHD and I also have a really hard time sleeping and this app has helped me soooo much. Whenever I’m trying to concentrate during the day I just turn on brown noise, which is my favorite, and it helps me focus without distractions. It’s like magic. I also use it when I’m trying to sleep. I set the sleep timer and it turns itself off after I’m well asleep. It’s great for drowning out screaming babies on airplanes too! Worth every penny 100 times over.

4. 3/5Great app when it works

   I really like Noise Machine when it’s working properly. The brown noise options are excellent and do a great job helping me fall asleep and stay asleep. The sound quality is great, and the app is simple to use. My biggest frustration is that it seems to require an internet connection far more often than it should. For an app whose primary function is to play brown noise, white noise, and other sleep sounds, I don’t understand why internet access is necessary. There have been times when I’ve wanted to use it while traveling or during connectivity issues, only to find it doesn’t work reliably. If the sounds could be stored locally and made available offline, this would easily be a 5-star app. As it stands, it’s a great sleep aid that’s unfortunately too dependent on an internet connection.

5. 5/5My mind is quiet!!!

   I have had adhd since I was a child and have always had hard time winding down at night. I spend all night thinking thoughts. As the years go by I’ve tried it all to help. The brown noise has help me fall asleep within an hour and stay asleep as well to get a good 6 hours. It’s improved my sleep which had improved my mood and my life. I don’t really do app reviews but this one deserves one! Hope people give it a try. It takes a couple nights to get used to but once you do it’s amazing.
