   I have been using a variety of weather apps, and my friend who is a United pilot, Capt., introduced me to this app, which is the best. It’s detailed, the advertisements are download, and you don’t have to find where the little axes to get it off your screen. It’s detailed hour per hour, including the wind and the wind direction. And it’s been very accurate thus far. I have been so frustrated with the apps I was using that kept wanting me to click on their commercials, and this one is very respectful of my attention. It doesn’t have the radar of the storm coming in but I use a separate app for that.

   UPDATED REVIEW: it’s been about a year or so since my initial review & sadly, still have NEVER RECEIVED A WEATHER ALERT! No favorites tab has been added. Still have to select which overlay on the map I want to view, and now have to zoom in on my location because it shows all of the US, Mexico, & Canada. The radar in motion is still clunky & slow, & that’s if it works @ all. Very disappointed. It’s really not even a 1 Star app @ this point. The app does provide the detailed forecast from the NWS. & that's about the good thing. You can set up weather alerts & there's an option for sound, but according to the developer you will only get these if you leave the app open. Really? I had several winter weather advisories for my area & did not receive a single notification of any of them. Each time you enter the app it takes you to the map tab. Which is ok if you want that. There's no option to add a favorite tab. On this map, you have to select which overlay you want each time. It does not save the overlay you want. Causes additional taps & gets annoying. The overlays look clunky & not as accurate as the NWS radar. Overall just a 2 star app right now. If the severe weather notifications were to actually work w/ sound, better map, ability to save a favorite tab & settings on the radar, could be the perfect app. Hopefully some things will be fixed/added

   This app isn’t the flashiest and the interface can feel a little clunky at first but actually now that I am used to it I think the interface is brilliant. If you want to know the noaa forecast where you are now, and also want to be able to pull up the radar to track storms, this app is the simplest way of doing that. I have been on the free version for years, and you honestly hardly even notice the small banner ads at the bottom. I do intend to buy the no-ads option, but just to support the developer. I travel full time and this app has been absolutely invaluable in more remote areas where the google and apple forecast tends towards omit the chance of rain, snow, and thunderstorms. My only gripe is that there is no way to refresh the radar map, you have to deselect and reselect the layer to get the radar to update or force close the app. Not a huge deal, but a minor annoyance. Big props to the developer for keeping this app working throughout the years!

4. 5/5Search function not working

   I’ve had this app for years and have sworn by it to others who used other weather apps. However, as other reviewers have mentioned, the search function no longer works and the hourly info is hit and miss. I tried using the developer’s web site to report problem, but just got a blank page. Update: the app developer got back to me and probably others and fixed the search and temperature problems in the latest update. App working perfectly for me again! Thank you for fairly quick customer service.

   I am blind and use Apple's built-in VoiceOver screen reader. I am also very particular about where I get weather information and I only use NWS forecasts. I first heard about this app in late 2016 and have been using it ever since. The data comes straight from the National Weather Service, which as I mentioned is a 'must' for me. The VoiceOver accessibility of the forecast screen is very good, including support for the hourly NWS info. This really is the best weather app I've used, and I'm so glad it's still going strong after all this time. Keep up the good work!
