4/5Love it but…
The saga continues. I get that developers want to be relevant and keep their jobs but now they hid- or eliminated- setting to change photo transitions, what photos to play, etc. it all used to be in settings. Now, who knows? Update to the update- got a response to my review with recommendations to improve performance. I’m, yeah, go re/index those albums, okay? If you want to know nothing, let developers (who are not users) respond to issues. Hilarious. 2026 update - Nix decided unlimited storage was now a paid option rather than grandfathering in those who bought thinking that’s what we would have. It still doesn’t shuffle through all photos regardless of how many times I change settings hoping to see a reset. Be prepared for that disappointment. Rather than fixing that their developers tweak features like his to add captions to make it look updated. I’m wondering if an iPad slideshow for my Google Photos might not be a better option. If you are getting for grandma and will be sending photos probably nice. Customer service is hard to reach and find resolutions. My frame won’t let me add captions until after uploading photos. Many chats and screenshots later, I was still getting the “cut & paste” responses from them. I have tried every which way to get photos to “play all” but it really just plays the most recent of my 4,000 photos. You have to just go select different playlists manually and change periodically as it doesn’t really shuffle your collection well. Maybe I have a defective frame? Who knows but I’ve learned to just do my own work arounds rather than rely on Support. Overall, great quality photo display.

5/5Great customer service
I am so impressed with Nixplay’s customer service. When I signed up for the yearly subscription, there was an error and I ended up with two charges. I emailed Nixplay for help, and Martin responded in a timely manner. He determined the issue to be on Apple Play’s side yet took the time to give me very detailed instructions on how to get my money back through Apple. He definitely did not need to do this as the double charge had nothing to with Nixplay. The fact that he provided step by step instructions when he very easily could have just told me to contact Apple really speaks to how much this company values their customers. The frame itself works great; the pictures look wonderful. I will say that it’s definitely worth paying for the subscription. I was trying to use the frame with just the free service, and many of my photos wouldn’t upload because they were too large. Then I ran out of storage space after about 50 pictures. Since I have switched to the yearly plan, I have not had a single issue uploading photos and have unlimited storage space. We purchased two additional frames for family members and the pictures load to seamlessly to each frame. It’s very easy to use and the plan is affordable so I don’t mind paying for it. This is a great way to share photos with family and to be able to see many photos in your home without having to physically print them out and hang them.

5/5Very Happy 10+ Year Customer
I've been a Nixplay customer for ten plus years. I’ve purchase three different frames over the years and am VERY satisfied with the frames and app. On this app, it integrates well so sending images right from the phone is a snap. You can either send directly from your Photos app, or when sending many photos at once or when sending larger images or videos, you can use this app. It’s so easy. And regarding support, up until a couple of days ago I never had any issue with any of my devices. But when the frame locked (first time ever) I contacted support and received a clear email from Maris in their support department on how to correct the issue. That fix took no more than two minutes, but I also had some follow up questions about the frame settings and options I had not explored before. So over the course of a couple of days I had an email exchange with Maris and every time I sent off a question, I quickly heard back from Maris. So over my ten plus years I'm quite pleased with my Nixplay frame and now having had an interaction with customer support I'm equally pleased!

2/5Early users have been abandoned for their “pay to play”model - better frames out there!
When your company first launched, I was one of the earliest adopters of your frames. I subscribed to your email list and read every customer focused bit of content your company put out. Socials, mailing lists, etc. I talked about how great you were. Even convinced a few people to buy Nixplay frames. Now, you have switched to a monthly model, where customers must basically pay $30 a month to use one of your frames. People out there on iTunes reading this, you can find cheaper better and more cost-effective frames to digitally display your pictures and videos! This is a once fine company that has succumbed to the subscription model in a greedy attempt to make more money and make you pay to see your own photos. If you try and use their free plan - they hide the free mode deep within the interface of the app, there is difficulty in deleting photos, constantly juggling to upgrade and sync the app with the frame to your phone, not to mention the never-ending bounce back when you try to email photos to your frame. The worst part? You used to be a company I was proud to use. Folks, don’t get bled dry by the monthly fees from this grubby, third rate frame company masquerading as something that cares about their customers.

5/5Best online support I’ve ever received
I know that sounds like hyperbole but it very much is not. I have owned a few Nixplay frames for a few years, never needing customer support. Recently I was at a yard sale and saw one for a great price. I got home and realized not only did it not have a remote but it was locked into a pairing w the previous owner. I was ready to write it off as a loss, but figured I’d shoot an email as a Hail Mary. I figured since it was from a yard sale they’d tell me sorry about your luck. Far from it. The next business day they requested the serial number and my address. 3 days later, I had a new remote via mail. I figured I could remove the pairing once I had the remote, unfortunately I couldn’t. I reached back out to Martin to assist me again and once again he immediately helped me remove the pairing. This customer service was so far above and beyond what the situation deserved that I had to write a review. I’m happy to know this service is there since I have 3 of their frames and absolutely will continue to buy them for our home and as gifts. Thanks again to Martin and the customer service team!
