1/5App is Lacking
Edit: I’ve tried the focus settings recommendation and completely deleted the focus setting in general. Still didn’t work. I’ve contacted customer support and completely deleted the system and reset it, deleted the app and reinstalled, turned all the notifications off and back on, reset the activity zones to the default setting, and sat on the phone with customer support for way to long to not have this issue fixed. Seems like a pretty easy thing to ensure your all functions correctly. The cameras recording the events but still not notification. Like I’ve said, if this issue can be fixed, I would give the app a way better rating as I really like the app layout and the quality of the cameras just tired of dealing with this issue for 3 weeks now. I really like the camera system and the quality of the video. It was super easy to setup as well. However, this rating is specifically for the iPhone app. I have called customer support 4 times now regarding my phone not receiving any notifications when motion is detected. I have stood directly in front of the camera and see that it’s recording but it’s never sent a notification since I set it up. I have done everything customer support has told me to do step by step and still nothing has worked. If I could get a simple fix to this I would definitely give a way higher rating. But as of now, I am not liking the notifications not working on my iPhone 14 pro max as I feel like I don’t ever know when someone/something has triggered the camera. I won’t know if anything is going on at my house until it’s to late.

1/5Avoid this App, Company, and their Products
This is possibly the worst surveillance system you could ever invest your time or money into. I spent the past few days to make this system work and everytime I had an issue there was no simple solution. First off, this company wants you to primarily use their app to use their product. This is a problem if you set up your system manually before attempting Bluetooth. Essentially, you can get locked out of the system. The product does not have a physical factory reset button, which is a big issue when you get locked out. The technical support contact system is also poor. Calls are ended before they go through to the representative, and the callback option rings for a second before they move on. I tried searching for an FAQ or instructional guide to reset on my own, but there were no resources available. Thankfully the chat support technicians are more reliable than the phonecall support, so they were able to talk me through the steps. The app has poor cross-platform connectivity. If you do something on the website, the app won't register it (such as registering a device). Personally, this app and their products are not worth the trouble. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.

1/5Garbage software and service
Have spent months yes months working with this company to solve recording issues with their product. First if you are having an issue adjusting the zone sensitivity for each camera under record settings it’s not just you. We tried it on 4 different phones and the system will just reset it to medium if you set the lowest setting. They tried to play it off as a phone issue. Nope. Ultimately they didn’t address the issue and implied a refund and then recanted because it went past 30 days even though we had been working the issue. To make matters worse during the troubleshooting they shipped me a replacement nvr and put it is a large usps mailer box with absolutely no packing material. Ultimately this was not a fix. This system will say it sees a face or car when there is nothing there. The main reason I wanted to adjust the sensitivity. Just so you know they use the same software on all their kits so I would avoid them all together. If I could give 0 stars for this company I would. Absolutely terrible experience and product. Update: I have confirmed that the sensitivity adjustment issue is had by other customers as posted by other reviews. If you have one of these systems try and adjust the sensitivity under the camera. If you set it and come back it will likely adjust itself. Initially it was doing it to the next level up but now it does it on the lowest setting. It will adjust to medium.

5/5Where’s my active timeline
I’ve had this system for almost 2 years and even tho it comes with no audio, it’s been somewhat okay otherwise. Well, I guess the app updated, and now if I want to review something that happened 30 seconds ago, there’s no option to anymore. That feature was highly difficult to use via the app, but I was happy to have it. How are you supposed to feel secure if you can’t go back to see what happened on each camera? Before the downgrade or “update”, my cameras recorded 24/7 It may have reset the choices I’d selected, but I cannot find where I can see the days, weeks timeline like before. It only shows “events” where it detects human and absolutely nothing is happening on screen, or times where me or my boyfriend have left and walked around the areas of camera view & it doesn’t record or pick up a person or movement. It has potential, but if that feature, the only feature I liked about it is gone, plus I still have to figure out what “extra” parts/cables I have to additionally buy to get sound, then I’ll just go with another brand/entirely. (My Ring doorbell system does all of this with 2 way audio & for a lot less money). Hopefully I’m just not seeing the timeline review option since the update and it’ll show back up very soon somewhere in the app.. Thank you

4/5Night Owl Hub
It’s easy to set up and view. I do wish there were more options for the HDMI viewing like being able to arrange the order of cameras tiles instead of them just going in order by camera number. Also, it would be a plus to be able to rewind and review footage on the TV as well. The only complaint that I do have is that I can only view my cameras live feed when I’m at home and connected to the same WiFi. I’ve tried using 2.4 mhz and 5 mhz (together and separately) on my 5G ATT&T WiFi router, direct wired connection while having the SSID hidden so that only the Hub was the only device getting the WiFi connection, connecting it using the wireless connection, and though having it connected via direct wire is fast and clear, my wife and I can’t view the cameras live on our phones both of which are on Highspeed 5G data plans. We get notifications immediately even with the the thumbnail pictures but it won’t let us Bertie the cameras live or reverie footage on the go. Other than that we love the cameras.
