1. 3/5Meh to worse

   This app used to be the much better alternative to the ESPN app which used to be atrocious. But now it’s terrible trying to actually play red zone and interact with the app causes freezing and glitches before and after reinstalling. It’s really annoying. That they make it so very easy to accidentally start players you don’t wanna start with the optimize feature. Can’t easily see league scoring settings in the mobile app that I can find. I have to restart the app at least once per game due to freezing. I paid for the premium (NFL+) and seems like I’m getting a worse app experience. Just looking at my match up alone with no videos playing or anything. It’s clear that an ad is trying to load in the very top of the screen takes up a portion of the screen, but is slow to load even on very fast connections so there is a blank rectangle, which makes it impossible to see anything useful above the fold. We have a 14 team competitive league going on 10+ years and started using the NFL platform in the last several years, but we honestly may need to go back to ESPN. Please try your own app and fix these issues.

2. 2/5Slow, Glitchy...Unimpressed

   The biggest complaint I have is the slowness of this app that others have also pointed out on these reviews. Come Sunday around 12:45pm when you’re scrambling to lock in your 1:00pm games based on injuries and breaking inactive news, it’s very testing to wait 15 seconds after you tap on a button for the player’s information to load. The interface for adding players and seeing/comparing important statistics quickly has always been problematic and irritating with this app (been using it since 2014-ish). Sorting by available players versus seeing all the top point scorers for a specific position often causes the app the default to showing players that either aren’t correct positionally or aren’t available to add. It doesn’t always fetch the correct data or refresh the lists as quick as you’d expect it to. Another subtlety that becomes annoying is how deep you have to dive in order to see who owns a specific player. I shouldn’t have to tap three different places on a player to figure out who in my league owns them. Overall, a weak, slow, underperforming app that uses a minimal, “modern” design aesthetic to try distract users from it’s numerous flaws and failures.

   NFL Fantasy is easy to use with a simple design that makes managing teams, setting lineups, and tracking scores straightforward for both new and experienced players. It works well across mobile and desktop, allowing users to stay updated on their teams anytime. However, it lacks features like more customizable league rules, detailed player analytics, and social tools for things like trade discussions or live chats. While the app is great for casual players, it feels a bit basic compared to other fantasy platforms. It deserves 4/5 stars because it's reliable and user-friendly, but it doesn't offer the depth and advanced features that serious fantasy players may want. To reach 5/5 stars, the app could improve by adding more customization options, better player stats/ stat sorting features, expanded social features, and more frequent updates. These changes would make it more engaging and appealing to a wider range of users.

4. 5/5Best App for FANTASY FOOTBALL!

   I’ve been using this app for just three years and I love it! I’ve done well with how they keep you updated with injuries and even scouting reports. Adding and subtracting players is simple and although it’s a waiver it’s always been fair which makes it all the more competitive for teams at the bottom. Me and my friends play and the commercials are right, some of my friends who I barely have much to say to unfortunately, fantasy football, it has arguing But the good kind! Competitive we all are though different and some of my friends who know little about football who are regular basement dwellers every year can give you an L with the right add/subtr. or start/sit lineup. It’s embarrassing but very satisfying for them which keeps them playing. I have nothing but great things to say about this app! You might find your complainers but they have made it their job to find something wrong just because it’s a review.

5. 3/5Solid app with some shortcomings

   This is my first year using the NFL’s official fantasy football app, in the past I have used the Yahoo and ESPN apps. Forcing advertisements before videos is an automatic loss of a star for me. If they want to monetize their app, I would be more than willing to pay an annual fee in exchange for an ad-free experience. This app is solid in terms of scouting and injury updates. It has an “RZ” indicator to show when a player is inside the opponent’s Red Zone. What would be nice would be if they would add an indication of where the team is, and what situation. 3rd & 3, 17 yard line, that kind of thing, or an indication of what the last play was, rush or pass or penalty, and what the yardage was. The ESPN app did have a feature like this the last time I used it. Their app is the best I have used in roughly 15 years of fantasy football experience. I was unable to use this app for our draft this year, and fortunately I had a laptop with me or my team would have been auto-drafted. All other players in my league reported this same frustrating error, resulting in a couple of teams being auto-drafted in a league with a cash prize. Absolutely unacceptable. Overall the app is fine, it works, but it doesn’t stand out to me as being close to best in class. It loses stars for the advertising, for limited situational information during games, and for the app’s failure during our league’s draft. I will use it again next year for one league, but with this being the official NFL Fantasy Football app it should be head and shoulders better than the other options and work smoothly in all areas. As it stands right now there are better apps for fantasy football.
