This update fixes the most common reason an edit failed at the final step. • Fixed exports failing on video recorded in HDR, which is the default on iPhone 12 and later • Fixed selecting clips doing nothing when another screen was already open • Your camera roll now opens automatically the first time you create a video • More reliable speech recognition on iPhone XR, XS and 11 • Clearer explanations when a clip can't be used, instead of a technical error code • You're now told when speech couldn't be heard on part of a video, rather than it passing silently

• If a video fails to save, that edit no longer counts against your monthly total • You're now told before editing when a clip is low resolution, so a blurry export isn't a surprise • Better error reporting behind the scenes, so problems get diagnosed and fixed faster

• Your clips now appear first when creating a video, with the optional description tucked away until you want it • Notifications are only requested once you've made a video — and only if you ask for them • Layout fixes on the Create screen

• Fixed a rare failure where a finished video wouldn't save to your camera roll — it now retries automatically • Clearer message if saving does fail, so you know your video was made and can simply try again
