5/5Use for acute stroke work up and it’s NIHSS
Great tool in the pocket to have to perform the NIHSS score on stroke patients. I have been using it for years. Hope they continue to support it and update it. Other resources seem helpful too yet I use the NIHSS the most.

4/5I like the app, but needs updated.
The app is straightforward and easy to use and navigate. Only problem is that it hasn’t been updated in a while. Last update was in 2019. The NIHSS needs to be updated to include the addition of the right and left distal motor function. The results can be up to 4 points different depending on if you are using the old scale or the new scale. I stopped recommending this app until the scale gets updated.

Strong foundation for acute scores and management recommendation. Good app for clinic use too. Definitely recommended to be used by every Neurologist/ ED specialist dealing with acute neurological conditions.

5/5Great app for the neurologist!
I'm a board certified neurologist, and I use this app daily in my clinical practice. I downloaded it primarily for the NIH stroke scale, it has come in handy in multiple other occasions. The NIH Stroke Scale is well done and has the instructions for each item available without losing your place. Can't remember if the patient with flaccid hemiplegia gets ataxia points? It's right there. When you finish, the score can be emailed to you, so I never actually write it down. Works perfectly. It includes the aphasia cards as well (cookie jar and glove/hammock) The app has steadily improved and they continue to add new formulas and outcome scores. I would like a phenytoin correction for ARF and low serum albumin in the future. This is the best neurology app available!
