1. 5/5Honestly, best smart device I own

   I used and have owned many smart devices over the last several years. The Netatmo weather station is the best smart product I have ever owned. Literally. The additional units communicate with the base station over seemingly impossible distances using only AA batteries other than the base station, which is also very small. We have a three level brick home and every unit works - from the third level all the way out to the basement. To the wind and rain gauges which are at the back of our lot about 100 feet away from the base through a brick wall. I couldn’t believe it when I set this thing up. My router barely works in those locations. And lll Once you set it up, the only thing you have to do is replace the batteries every year or so. I have the max number of indoor and outdoor units, including wind and rain. It gives you volumes of reliable and extremely accurate data. The barometric pressure is always with a couple hundredths of a Millibar away from the reading at the local weather station a couple miles away. The rain gauge measures within a couple hundredths of an inch too. Again, possibly accurate. I still have this day. I have no idea how it does it. On top of that users have the option to opt into anonymized sharing with other users across the world so you can see real time weather data from Netatmo weather station users on pretty much every corner of the planet.. The strangest part is it’s been out for 10 years probably and it is still more reliable than 99% of my other smart stuff. If you’re a weather nerd or a data nerd ( like me ), you need this weather station. This thing is bulletproof.

2. 5/5Hyper-local weather

   I’ve been using Netatmo for several years now and can’t imagine being without it. As a daily cyclist and living near Lake Michigan, there can be huge differences between conditions over just a few miles, so knowing conditions in my own backyard is critical. With an indoor module, and outdoor model, and rain and wind gauges, I know all important parameters indoors and out instantly on my phone and find it useful to compare with area conditions from WeatherBug. Knowing dew point in your own yard is also helpful in spring to determine if it will really be necessary to cover plants. The Netatmo app works well enough and can be configured to provide notifications, including precipitation and indoor air quality. It’s sufficient for many users. However, true weather geeks will want to use Netatmo in conjunction with the independent myatmo app. Once authorized, myatmo accesses Netatmo servers and provides realtime graphs of all parameters and even generates fun heatmaps from accumulated data. Myatmo also has convenient iOS and WatchOS widgets for key data at a glance.

   We have had our Netatmo for several years and I love it. We live in the Denver metro area where temperatures and weather conditions can vary greatly across the area. I can check the temperature outside my house and then look at the temps across the area. I can see how much colder it is in the mountains than on the plains or between where I live and Boulder (this is in the map portion of the app). If you swipe left in the app, you can see pollution levels (helpful if you like to exercise outdoors). I love how the device warns you when the CO2 level is too high in your house. I also like that I can see noise levels. The app will alert you to any hazardous weather conditions in your area if you turn on the alerts. We recently purchased and installed the wind and rain gauge. Hopefully, we will love them as well. I find Netatmo an extremely useful device.

4. 3/5This is a joke

   Get my station today set everything up nothing works. Changed batteries on all mods deleted and reinstalled get to work for 1 minute then goes offline. Settings show good signal strength all around but rain and outside sensor not transmitting info. How does this company not have a phone number to call or troubleshooting and or customer service? Very disappointed sent email hopefully I will update this with good news after I hear back from them. Update. I was able to get my system online although I had to essentially put the outdoor station next to the window where the indoor station is. Customer service is the only reason I am giving them 3 stars. I’ve asked several follow up questions.m 6 hours ago and haven’t received a response. CS phone line is a must in today’s digital world.

5. 5/5Everything you need for climate monitoring

   I have used this appliance for measuring performance of the vent systems and monitoring kindergarten indoor climate. To say that I'm happy with this tool is to say nothing. It's just awesome. I was afraid at first that CO2 sensor is not showing good results (I have checked against verified Autopilot and CO2Meter devices), but it all went back to nominal when device self-calibration was over (there's a mark on the device homepage when calibration is in progress). I also found sound meter extremely helpful in my measurements, because noise is one of the critical aspects of the vent system functioning. It was also helpful that device stored data internally when the connection failed so I did not loose my measurement data for several days. I found the web-interface a bit difficult to scroll for long periods of time, so more graphana-like interface is welcome. Yet at the moment it can be worked around by exporting the data in csv and importing it in any analytics tool. Good product. Looking forward for new updates.
