1. 1/5The new version (July 2025) is hot garbage

   The new version of this app released July 2025 is absolutely pathetic. Several key features available in the previous version are not available in the new one. For example in the previous version, if you tuned in to a live game after it started you had the option of joining live or watching from the beginning. This allowed you to join a game late but not miss any action. With the new app you are brought straight into the game live. There’s no option start watching from the beginning. Also, with the old app, if you stopped watching in the middle of a live game, maybe because you had to run an errand or something, when you re-entered the broadcast you were given the option of watching from where you left off. This functionality is also no longer available with the new app. Additionally, with the old app you could scroll forward or back in 10 second intervals. With the new one you can only go forward or back in 5 - 20 minute intervals, depending on how long you’ve been watching. So if you have to pause a game, you can’t skip over the commercials to catch up. Overall, the look and feel of the new version is dirt cheap. NESN must have saved a lot of money by switching to a low cost vendor, and now their paying subscribers have to suffer for it.

2. 2/5Terrible When Traveling

   When I travel for work which is quite often, I try to use the app on my iPad to watch the games. I constantly get an error telling me I’m out of remote viewing time or something along those lines. I look it up online and see that I “haven’t watched enough on the app when in my home area”… if I’m home and can watch the game on my television why would I need to put it on via the 360 app..? I pay for NESN and the app is part of that so I can watch Bruins games on the road, but that’s not the case with this app. Thankfully I pay for ESPN+ as well and can always watch the game on there. The only reason I gave the app 2 stars instead of one is because when I am traveling in New England I can use the app if the hotel doesn’t have NESN which most don’t and then the app actually works well. NESN needs to rethink their policies on remote viewing. I’ll be canceling NESN and just watch the B’s via a live stream elsewhere so this won’t be a problem for me much longer.

3. 1/5$30 a month for what?!

   So, not only is the monthly cost of this app outrageous, but it’s also extremely buggy. The iPhone app seems to work fine, although the Apple TV app is completely useless. Every time I try to watch a game I am greeted with a message that says: Oops! Looks like your device or setup does not support the NESN 4K HDR stream. For reference, I am attempting to watch on a LG OLED tv with a brand new Apple TV 4K - 128GB - Ethernet edition. Video settings are 4K SDR with match dynamic range and match frame rate enabled. My internet is Verizon Fios gigabit connection through Ethernet. I’ve since gone into the settings and changed the format to 4K HDR and now the app works. For those of you who are not tech savvy the Apple TV match format section in video settings takes care of this. So when I originally had my format set to 4K SDR it would automatically switch to HDR when watching HDR content (EXCEPT NESN 360). This is incredibly annoying and is unacceptable for the price you are charging. I suggest you fix your app and lower the monthly price if you plan on keeping customers.

   I have had the app since the beginning of the 2025 baseball season. I tried to stream it to my LG smart television. That would freeze up constantly and was unwatchable in that mode. I have never had a problem with streaming in any other circumstances. So I had to watch it on my IPad instead of my large screen tv which was a real negative. But I stuck with the app throughout the summer. The final straw came when I tried to tune in to the game on September 26 ( the night they clinched a playoff spot). The app initially showed that it was 3-2 and final. I went to my ESPN app and saw it was actually 3-3 going to the ninth. I went back to the NESN360 app and it indeed showed that the score was 3-3. But it showed “Final”. Not much chance a game that had playoff significance for at least 3 teams would end in a 3-3 tie after 9 innings. I even took a screenshot of the nonsensical display. So there was no way I could watch this game despite my having paid for this pricey app. I cancelled immediately. This app is not worth the money they charge.

5. 2/5Expensive App. Poorly designed for fans.

   For an app that demands an additional $30 per month on top of cable or streaming, the lack of attention to the actual fan experience is shocking. Live games are great if you can watch them in real time, but many fans cannot and go out of their way to avoid scores until they can catch the replay. This app completely ruins that by plastering the final score in the replay section itself, with no option to hide it. That is Sports UX 101, and the fact it hasn’t been addressed makes the app feel careless and dismissive of the people paying for it. A simple toggle or drop-down to reveal scores only when a user chooses would solve this. Equally frustrating: there’s no dedicated section for the Bruins’ full season schedule (or if there is, it’s buried so deeply that it’s practically impossible to find). How can a team-specific subscription service not have the most basic resource—a clear, accessible season schedule—front and center? Overall, this feels like a product built without any actual input from sports fans. At this price point, the bare minimum should be protecting the viewing experience and providing basic team information in a user-friendly way. Until those glaring gaps are fixed, it’s hard to recommend this app as anything other than an overpriced afterthought.

   tried downloading then when it gets to the point where it says you can use your TV provider and you need a code sent to you. there's nothing at the bottom to let you do it. you can't submit anything....

   Problem going to current game on Roku. Keeps trying to open old games. Some ads like Cambridge Pavers, Carshield and Toyota repeat 20 times during a Red Sox game. Forget using 4K, it actually has worse resolution on a 4K capable TV.
