   Update: I think it took about 2 months but I’m just thrilled that they fixed the app. I can’t speak on any of the other features but I mostly use the scanner so I’m thrilled it’s up and running. Thank you developers. As far as the app itself, it’s super convenient and user friendly. I love that it’s specific to the store & tells you what they carry that is qualified in addition to the scanner feature. The dollar amount for fruits/veggies is beyond helpful and appreciated. Back in the day before apps, I made a special trip to a WIC store to get everything at once because it’s difficult to keep track of and ALOT of store nowadays don’t have the WIC labels up on products. My overall favorite feature is the scanner so you can clearly see how happy I am that this is back in service. Thanks again! Scanner to verify items at the store stopped working after a recent update. Even typing in eligible items comes back ineligible. Please fix.

2. 5/5Texas WIC app

   I absolutely love this app. Before, no matter what store I shopped at if I wanted to retrieve all of my benefits I had to do at least 2 separate transactions to make sure certain items were WIC items, that way the cashier didn’t have too many items to have to put back. Now!!! And I must say it is so much easier to shop for my wic item’s because the app allows me to scan an item to see if it’s a benefit that I get. For the first time in two years I have used most of my benefits without making another shopping trip. I’m really excited about that. And also I had no idea how much WIC really covers! I definitely would not have access to all these items if it were left up to me to get on my own so thank you WIC OF TEXAS!

3. 5/5I stopped liking the app until?!

   The app has always been helpful when I’m doing wic shopping at a grocery store especially the scanner, but later the scanner stopped working even though I had the camera settings on in the app so I decided to Google how to fix and this solution worked for me and may help for the ones that the scanner stopped working. You need to uninstall the app and reinstall again and just input your credentials and the scanner should start working properly again. Hope this helps!

4. 2/5inefficient and frustrating

   I was told by the wic office on the phone that I “should schedule Wic appointments on the app” however I know that’s not an available option. It just provides me their email or their phone number, so the option to schedule an appointment in app is pointless. In addition the app has more features and settings that do not work such as “add a baby or pregnancy”. I lost my baby months ago and I still can’t get the stupid app to register that I have lost my child and the Wic office is having issues with various problems because of this. Lastly, I am pregnant again. Therefore I need a WIC appointment and I cannot schedule one through the app. I cannot add a new pregnancy because it doesn’t matter which option you pick none of them will register, it doesn’t work.

5. 5/5Check in from app is pointless

   I think it’s odd that an option is present in app to check in to notify the clinic you’ve arrived. However after speaking with a rep here at the clinic she advised they don’t get notified when you check in from the app, which is pointless to have as an in app option. Otherwise I do like the option to scan items in the app for the grocery store.
