1. 4/5Fine for what it is

   It’s designed to let you check basic info, get notifications, stay in touch, etc.. it does that pretty well. Can you access course content like on a desktop? Mostly, but it’s not great. Every time you read an article, you have to X out and go all the way back into the course content and find your page again. I like the idea of reading on my iPad instead of my desktop, but this isn’t quite the thing for that.

2. 5/5Great app. Ignore the haters.

   Not sure why this app has so much backlash, it does what is expected and without issues. It seems the main issues people complain about are: - Inability to access and complete coursework. - Instability causing the app to crash. In regard to the first, this is a strange expectation. The app does have the ability to access coursework through a built-in browser, but it’s not really designed for it. All coursework should be completed through a desktop browser as this is the only fully supported method. Being able to at least view some courses through the app is simply a nice feature. As for the second, I haven’t experienced this myself. That said, reporting it to WGU’s development team, rather than using an App Store review to report bugs, would probably be the best option. My biggest complaint is that I can’t access the mail through the app, it brings you out of the app. This applies to the browser version as well though, so not entirely an issue, more of a feature request. Overall, it’s a fine app. Nothing special, but it will let you check your degree progress, handle billing, view a course overview (and provide limited access to some course material, check and manage notifications, and contact faculty assigned to your courses.

3. 5/5Easy to use and handy

   WGU saves us thousands while allowing us to earn our degrees online, it’s an affordable school, of course they’re not going to dump thousands into developing a top of the line app. This app does not deserve such a low rating, it does what it needs to do. I like that I don’t have to retype my login info every time I open the app, and it is very quick and easy to navigate to my online books. It serves its purpose of being more accessible than using the safari browser. Allowing my books to be easier to get too motivates me to actually read them more.

4. 5/5Study at your fingertips

   With this App I can study while multitasking through my day, a little is better than nothing at all! My weeks run by so quickly as I try to juggle everything! To help me I do snapshots, then come back to my notes to help me process information much easier! Using the App helps me when I can’t focus on my desk top, or my laptop isn’t with me. Thanks for creating it! I have had multiple life situations that hindered my progress at times, and I believe the quick access to my WGU material will held me finally cross the finish line! Cheers to success!

5. 5/5GREAT APP

   As a night owl student working full time it is such a convenience to be able to pull out my phone and do some course study wherever I may be. I was recently at a doctors appointment and it took me two hours to complete the appointment with most of the time in the waiting room. I passed that time away studying on the app. I can do that anytime I want to with the app. Even on my breaks at work . So I do as much course work as I can on the app. It’s better than hauling around my laptop and quick and easy to use. I highly recommend it!
