   I recently started using the MyPoints app. I have it download on my iPad. I use it on my phone as well and recently I cashed out for $50 target gift card that I’m waiting on. In the meantime, I downloaded smashed solitaire as i seen the amount of points that I could earn by leveling up and making a couple of purchases. I have hit probably level 60 although; it show I’m at 45 when I go into my ledger and I can see that I have 15,900 points pending for 32 days. I took a break from playing smash solitaire, and went back to log into MyPoints to take at least one more survey (try to do two a day) so far I only got one in , when I get a notification that my account has been deactivated. In today’s financial climate, I don’t know who has the money to just give away. I made a couple of purchases due to the amount of points that I could get back to help me buy things for my kids not huge purchases maybe talking about 20/30 bucks plus the game reminds me of a bingo game I play with no benefits back for buying in. I have read a ton of online reviews that the customer service is horrible. They nine times out of 10 are not going to respond back and if they do, they’re going to tell you that you violated some sort of terms of service, but not tell you what terms you violated. I can tell you I have not violated any terms of service. I login daily, I take the polls, I play whatever games I’ve downloaded to hit whatever levels I need and I do a few surveys answering each and everyone honestly even when they asked for my address which I’m not 1000% comfortable giving. I’ve also referred maybe six or seven people to join the app just this week, which now, I feel I need to reach out to them to stop using before they make any purchases. This app was great. Easy to use and rewarding way to earn a few gifts cards but I wouldn’t not recommend if your money is going to be taken for something you thought would benefit in the end. Update 1-4-24: after some back and forth my account has been restored and I received my pending points back along with the gift card I redeemed. I don’t know what I violated by referring others to join the app as it was not explained but that was the reason they closed my account. I hope this doesn’t happen again. I appreciate the prompt assistance on behalf of the developers and staff.

2. 2/5Issues with app that website doesn't have

   Been using mypoints for years. Love it but the app stinks. A lot of the time I try to use the portal to shop, MP is like a window frame around the store I'm shopping. Sometimes I'm unable to completely scroll down in the store because MPs frame overlaps part of the store view. Happens when I try to checkout, the checkout button is below MPs frame and it won't let me scroll down far enough. (iPhone SE). Don't have issues if I use a browser to open MP and link to a store, only with the app. Also surveys stink. Sometimes I'm trying to zoom out to read the print on a survey, and I'll accidentally swipe right. And the screen will revert to the main survey page. But the survey I was on is now gone. So I don't get to complete it. Also sometimes as I'm completing a survey, there seems to be a bug and the app freezes. And I have no option but to force quit the app. And lose credit for the survey. Claiming monthly bonus points is difficult, it's a hint to find where to claim them. Since it's once a month, I never remember where it is. On the website it's easy to find. App has limited use, but it's seriously annoying to spend 15 minutes on a survey, just to lose it. The one I lost today was a week-long participation survey that would have paid out real$. Not happy. Plus, when I'm in the app doing surveys, sometimes the survey will require landscape mode. And the app won't let me turn to landscape mode. Again, lost good $ surveys on this. Obviously the developers don't read the reviews or my complaints that I send them, because these are still issues, months and months later.

3. 1/5Deactivated account with no real reason and lots of points in my account

   I joined after a friend sent me a request. I thought this was going to be great. I did the surveys and I even ordered a few things using their referral links. I started gaining points. I thought it was good. And then I started with some of the longer surveys to try and get some bigger points and after sitting for a really long time for some of them and not receiving the points I expected, I still said OK it happens. I had gone after a few major bonus offers, including one from Sunbasket, and had potential for some big points. I was really excited. I downloaded a few games and started putting more into leveling up, which included time and real money. Then out of the blue, I can’t log into my system and it tells me “deactivated account, contact customer service.” I contact customer service who respond by email to tell me “this account was deactivated due to violation of program terms with respect to special offer/offer services provided by our site and/or partner service sites.” It doesn’t even tell me what I did wrong and how egregious it was that my account should be deactivated. I asked for further explanation and received the same line and that a further review would maintain closure of my account and this would be the final response. In my account, including pending, in points I have the equivalents of over $150 in gift cards. With the games, it would’ve been closer to over $250 and they just deactivated me without warning and without any of my rewards. I ended up spending extra money on sites, services, and games I wouldn’t have chosen if it weren’t for this company. All I can do now is cry. Be careful. I would not recommend them. Too bad I can’t give them 0 stars.

   I have belonged to my points for many years now. Last year I downloaded the app to my phone and everything was fine. It was so easy to use the magic receipts for in store shopping. A month or two ago they did an update and magic receipts are no longer easy to use. Tonight I can’t even submit my grocery receipt which would have five items on it. I have been able to upload my receipts since the update (with difficulty) , but now it won’t let me do that. I’ve closed and restarted the app and even turned off my phone. Usually when you want to submit a receipt, you first select the store. Then the products you bought. And then upload the receipt. Now when I click on submit receipt, nothing happens. If they would correct this and better yet make it as easy as it used to be, then I would give it five stars because the program itself is very good.

   The whole My Points things is great, as long as it works and you don’t need any type of customer service. I have been trying to contact an actual HUMAN for over a month now. My issue is with the surveys and the fact they have blocked me from completing surveys (inconsistent responses and “under review”, although the “review” seems to be taking months). I tried writing an email and explaining my husband took a survey so the answer went from female to male. All other answers were truthful. But, they want me to send a picture of my passport or license. I don’t just send pictures of my ID online. My bank doesn’t even ask for that. If they want to put in security questions like the bank (mother’s maiden name etc…) I’d be open to that. There are many other similar sites that have timely customer service, Rakuten being one of them. I hear from them within days when I have an issue. I will be sticking with them.

   Not best app for scanning receipts, you have to go through too many steps just to scan one receipt You have to find the store/brand, take a picture using your camera or upload file, add items to your cart that might be eligible for extra points, etc. I think it's a hassle to go through all of that just to get 2 points or a few extra. Definitely not the most user friendly app. Seldom use for receipts because it takes forever to scan in and earn enough points to cash out unless you play games.

   updated 7/20/26... After many years of fun and joy with My Points, I had enough. It's not worth the time and energy anymore.} I put in the work for my points, but I'm not allowed to redeem all my points.. I liked MyPoints when I first joined some years ago. Now it is a joke...

   The app works well, but the site fails to award points when yo complete offers. I completed an Acorns offer and didn'tn receive the points I was due. Support is non-existent beyond canned auto responses. Not recommended at all.

   Great place to earn and play games for points you also learn about new products while doing surveys. This app has problems and often will not open and I have to uninstall and reinstall to get it to work
