2/5Is it something about my face?
This app utterly fails as a companion for the game. It’s only capability is the face scan feature, which seemed promising but ultimately did not function properly in my case. First off, while the face scan procedure seemed legit, it’s very frustrating because it will repeatedly fail. Then, when the app finally determines it successfully scanned your face (or perhaps it just gives up?), 2K24 will likely get stuck while downloading the data and the whole process must be repeated. Finally, after several more painful face scan attempts, passing the 50% stall point, 2K24 will probably issue an error saying it could find the face data. I was so excited for this feature but was let down. Such a tease. Is it because I’m Asian? Is this software racist yo? Can devs please get this thing working for 2K25? I hope face scan -> video game character becomes standard. NBA 2K has the opportunity to be the pioneers of this technology. Two stars because I appreciate the attempt.

I’ll preference this with saying that I have been out of the 2k loop for a while now thought the game got very stagnate around 2k17 I don’t hate the game I love basketball and for a lot that 2k gets wrong I think they get basketball pretty fast forward to today for the first time in about 8-9 years I decided to get back on the rollercoaster that is nba 2k I haven’t had the companion app in years and knew you could use it to do face scans I think that cool so imagine my surprise to find out that not only can I not get into the app everytime I try to face scan I get rejected by the an “internet disconnected” screen now I don’t have the best WiFi out there but it’s never failed me when using my phone other than a strong storm power outage so I guess I’m more confused than anything that MULTI-BILLON DOLLAR COMPANY CANT EVEN GET A PHONE APP RIGHT

Hey are looking for an app so you can get that drippy joker face scan from 2k face plugs well this ain't it but if your looking for the worse face scan app of the year that moves 1 frame per second and take you're battery from 55% to 20%, and for it to keep telling to move back or tell ya to gets some natural light well this the app for you! Hey 2k since youre obsessed with telling us that our camera being so dark how bout you add a flashlight mode, maybe add a camera flip option too so I don't gotta twist and bend my arm like I'm a zesty clown. This app this year ain't it and you can bet I'm so excited to see this app be worst in 2k27 but hey raise those vc prices! Keep those zenners and patch those taz face glitches cuz tats on faces is ruining the game not cheaters and trash ah developers.

This app is soooo bad ,disappointing and very disrespectful because how you have a successful company that gets a lot of money but can’t even fix your app. here are the reason why I’m writing this review the app is racist because why when I scan my face I was so happy to see what I would look like in the game until when it finished loading my face it came out so bad and the face looks nothing like me it literally looks like a ape I was so mad and sad. I honestly feel like the people who made 2k and this app really don’t care what other people say and there thoughts because if they did they would’ve already fix the face cam and all the other things but I hope they see this review because I’m getting tired of this.

5/5Face scan needs improvement.
The app itself is fine, it’s the face scan feature that makes it so difficult to use. Though it sounds like a fun concept, the face scan is just a gimmicky, buggy mess, that has no reason being as implemented as it is. I can’t even align the face without it immediately asking to move back or closer, and won’t even try to scan my face. The technology needs work. As a companion app, it works. But it’s “special features” that 2k loves to showcase so much, is not good.
