5/5Everything and then some
This is an amazing app for a performing cover band musician like me. I read some of the low star reviews and I don’t get it. It seems like they didn’t spend a couple minutes in the app before using it. They just expected it to work the way they imagined it to. Ian’s support is fast and intelligent. It is loaded with features, even some I don’t use, and is extremely easy to load charts from Google Drive. I’m trying to talk my keyboard players into using it so they can get automatic patch changes and we won’t have to wait for them during performances. And it’s almost free! How can anyone complain about the price !? I hope they sell a million of them!

5/5Just What I Needed!
I love this app. It has just the right amount of functionality without a lot of extra complications. I gig in multiple bands, mostly as a keyboard player (so it doesn’t have to be just lyrics). I make my lead sheets and print them as PDFs, AirDrop them to the iPad into My Lyric Book. Set lists can be made for multiple bands/events with different sets of song selections, and edited/re-ordered (drag and drop) as shows evolve. And the low price! Thank you

5/5Singer, Vocal coach
I have used this app for almost 10 years. As a singer entertainer of Urdu & Hindi Geet and Ghazals it has been the perfect app for me. It provided me with the ability to maintain list of song lyrics, create song lyric lists (by original singers, concert program, etc. etc.), ability to pull up lyrics at a moment’s notice during a live performance.

4/5Great Basic Tool
My team and I really enjoy using this app to store our lead sheets and chord charts for us. It’s cost-effective and it just plain works. **The main thing the team and I fell that this app needs is the ability to directly mark, highlight and add notes onto our stored music sheets . This addition and ability would be very helpful and I hope that the developers consider adding this feature to the app. Right now there is a drop-down box to add notes into and it becomes cumbersome when you’re trying to perform and read your sheet music and notes because the drop down notes make the music so small it’s difficult to read.

5/5Love it
Excellent if you have a crap load of lyric chord charts on your computer that you need to print out. Just input them with a click and you have them. Now, dragging $2.99 out of your pre Madonna band mates is the hard part, but if they use the charts you print out it’s worth it to give them the Monet so u don’t have to copy any longer. Works excellent on a pad with a pad holder.

While most of the time its best to handle lyrics as continuous text, sometimes they need to be page based. I recently worked on a show where the MD sent out scores as pdfs (the day before the show started!), and I quickly found out that the app needed to treat pdf as a special case. PDF handling has been completely rewritten to give a really great page by page view. Just in case you don't love it as much as I do, the old style behaviour is still available as a preference (and on older devices which don't support page turns).

1.8.1
Short PDF documents are now displayed with page 1 on the left in two page view. Longer docs keep odd pages on the right (thanks Lawrence) External pedals can have the option to advance to next/previous song with out scrolling (sorry I forgot who asked for this)

1.8.2
iOS 6 and iPhone 5 support - make use of that new bigger screen for your lyrics! IMPORTANT: iOS 4 users. Unfortunately Apple's development tools don't make it possible to support both the new iOS 6 devices and the older iOS 4 devices at the same time. The new version requires iOS 5 or iOS 6. Specifically this means the new version won't work on an iPhone 3G or iPod Touch 2G. We're really sorry about this - We've got a couple of older devices that still worked great, but we have little choice if we want to support the new iPhone 5. Users with older devices should hang onto the older 1.8.1 version.

1.8.8
Fix for a MAJOR bug in 1.8.7. REALLY SORRY. 1.8.7 features that should now work: Midi Support - Send and Receive Patch changes for each song Improved PDF and Pages Scrolling with foot pedals (for Jonathon Tylor) Up/Down footpedal mode (for Pastor John - also try turning on "two finger swipe" and you should have everything you asked for!). Midi is a big new feature, so can select a patch for each song (including optional bank changes), so you can either select a song in the app and have it configure your keyboard, or visa versa. Feedback on this feature would be greatly appreciated, as I'm still figuring out how you'd like it to work. There are also big changes under the hood, so please email in any problems: [email protected]

IMPORTANT NOTICE: displaying PDF's is causing a problem in iOS11. If this is important to you, DO NOT UPDATE. We'll have a fix out in the next few days. Other formats are (as far as we know) unaffected. If you're experiencing crashing go to the Settings app and under lyric book settings, enable "scrolling" PDF's. Fix networking Bug in IOS10: This breaks compatibility with the old version, so networked song selection will no longer work between versions pre 1.9.3 and post 1.9.3. [Thanks for the patience, Chris]. There's also an option in Settings to display the "next song" name in the toolbar. So you can prepare for the next song before you turn the page. [Thanks to the user who suggested this! Sorry I've lost your email, so can't give you a shout out].
