1. 5/5Unique Outstanding Design App

   As an ole Man I have been using this app for some time now. It’s hard to believe that I never got around to giving a review of it. Finally to me this was a Lightning ⚡️ app that gave you myself and of course our Family the safety that was needed in Storms we all have faced where Lightning has become a threat and Dangerous situation. This app is right on to when the Lightning strikes but also the location really pin point. I believe the Developer has put a great deal of time hard work sweat and yea love into coding this Software to make you myself and our family safe. It shows with the number of updates that have been made to keep up with the Technology that keeps changing every minute every hour and yes every second! So Mr. Developer I want to thank you for a Unique Outstanding Design App an App that is a 5 Star ⭐️ without doubt. So as I pick up my cane 🦯 and head down the road I know it is safe because of this great app. So Mr. Developer I Tip my Hat 🎩 to you and say “ Thank’s “ for my friends out there if you took the time to read this Download this App give it a try listen to this ole man the App is truly truly “ amazing ! “

2. 5/5Nice Weather App!!!!

   I’m a hobby photographer and have a Davis VP2 weather station here at the house. So between those two hobbies I got interested in photographing lightning storms. Being down here in south Alabama we don’t have the wide open flat land like in the midwestern areas where you can see a storm fifty miles away...if you don’t know they’re coming the storms can be on you around here before you know...and too late to set up cameras. With My Lightning Tracker I can see a line of storms coming into my area and be set up for them when they get here. The alerts are great in letting you know early on that there is lightning activity in the area that you’ve defined. The app also has a radar included and with this I’m able to get a good weather picture in my mind of what is going on and whether I want to set up my cameras. Now, if I can just get my lightening photography skills honed some!!! There’s really no difference between the free and paid/“Pro” versions other than that th ad bar at the bottom of the screen is removed in the paid version. But, I was impressed enough with the app that I felt the app’s authors deserved a little something. It’s a nice app if your interested in weather and lightning specifically.

3. 3/5Used to love it. Devs need a leash.

   This WAS a great app. The latest update was deplorable!!! Radius for notifications completely changed without input. Went from 10 miles away to 49 miles, and every 5 minutes! Why? Now to reset, my only option is a slider on a map? How about a numeric input OR the slider with map view? How about honoring the config settings of the paid users at update time? Absolutely cannot stand devs that rewrite primary preferences when making updates. Keep my settings and ask if I’d like to update them. And at least make it functional. The slider and map is cute, but numeric entry is simple, effective and should not have been eliminated to add this method of entry. Not impressed. Great tool, but devs need to be mindful of the user’s preferences. Poor programming choice, and even poorer execution by nominally releasing such a drastic change to user function causing a day filled with spam-like notifications…. Not cool.

4. 5/5Accurate tracking, immediate notification

   I am a retired paramedic, and knowing what I know due to calls envolving lightning strikes, I would not be without this app. I found the Lightning Pro app a few years ago after “gaining invaluable knowledge” regarding a strike related injury on a seemingly beautiful summer afternoon. (I was not the victim...but I was shaken after responding to the call for the person that was). I was grateful to find such an app even existed, and even more grateful for it’s ability to accurately forewarn of the presence of lightning during rapidly changing conditions. There have been some great additions to the app, including a meteorologist grade radar. Keep in mind, it can only save you if you act appropriately to the information it provides.

5. 4/5Outdoors surveillance

   This app is a great companion for those who enjoy outdoor activities (biking, swimming, running, paddle board, boating, hiking, or landscaping / yard work). It has warned me on multiple times, specially right before those unplanned spare-of-the moment biking or running outings. The app has alerted me even before the National Emergency broadcast service alerts. If you live in an area where lightening strikes are a concern then this app should be part of your everyday routine. I went with the Pro version just after one day of use , once I realized its great value. I have mine set at 20 miles radius and notification every 15 min when strikes happen within that range, but you can customize it to your preference. You can set the notifications to a sleep mode during those hours of the day that you are likely be indoors anyways.
