4/5Great sound
Great sounding Soundsystem I have the formation duos the bass , the formation audio in the formation flex along with the formation bar the remote control feature on this app for the formation bar does not work at all. Can’t get it to configure and it would be awesome to have an option to have multiple subwoofers going as I like to have two subwoofers possibly even three especially when I’m watching film, the app is extremely buggy still needs to be fixed and needs more detail when it comes to the options of setting up particular sound like trouble, bass etc. as of right now I do not have the wedge I do plan on getting them at some point, but I would like to have some improvement done with what’s going on. Need more speaker configurations I feel like we need the option to use the audio with other speakers besides the formation duos and I’m talking in regards of the home theater set up along with the home theater set up I feel like we need the option to have two subwoofers for either two channel stereo or home theater for that matter

4/5Great headphones, barebones app
Can’t do much in the app other than basic changes to the settings of the headphones. Px7 S2 in my case. UPDATE: after the new update the app no longer opens automatically after connecting your device to the headphones. Also, the wear sensor seems to function as it’s intended too. Before it was very inaccurate, slight movements of your head would cause the headphones to pause playback thinking you had removed them. Now so far it works as it should and pauses only after I lift an earcup up or remove from my head. Battery level is suppose to be more accurately displayed as well but I haven’t had a chance to see if this is true or not. These are great changes to the app and headphones. Only con was it took a while for by update to complete and it failed twice on me while doing so, so it took longer that anticipated.

2/5The EQ is not accessible to voiceover users
I am a visually impaired person who purchased the PI8 earbuds. I downloaded the Bowers and Wilkins app and with voiceover you cannot use the EQ settings. You can set it for the true sound, but that’s all you can do. If you turn VoiceOver off you can move the sliders a bit, but you can’t tell what you’re doing in the app so I am writing that giving the app a two rating until this changes. I have inquired several times as to whether they could change it or Not, and have not received a response back nor has the update reflected a change. in closing I’d like to say two other things I’m sure many visually impaired people would like to use Bowers and Wilkins headphones, but we can’t get the full appreciation of the headphones without the EQ. The second thing I’d like to say Bowers and Wilkins is in a lot of theaters and in a lot of places and I’m sure they’ve taken images Sound images of those places and why we don’t have a hellacious number of presets. I don’t have a guest.

4/5Good
It works well with some minor bugs via connectivity and pause/play delays. My main issue with it is the music is only rendering in 16 | 44khz within the app. In order to get it to play songs at a higher frequency, the music file has to also be in hifi or it doesn’t render properly in real time. It’s not extremely inconvenient since I can just switch to airplay and use Quobuz to get the resolution, but it would be nice if the app could actually sync higher resolution audio from other apps instead of rendering it only to 16 | 44. Mind you it still sounds much better than other speakers at that base level, you just don’t see it’s full potential until loading a higher resolution file which b&w app itself doesn’t yet synchronize.

3/5Disappointed in linked music services functionality
The app is advertised as “All Your Music in One Place”, but that is not the case. I purchased this so that I could stream directly from the Formation, and not tie up my phone or use my battery with Airplay or Bluetooth. I have paid subscriptions to both Qobuz and Deezer, but when I play a curated playlist from either service directly from the Formation, quite a few songs are grayed out and are not available. However if I use Airplay or Bluetooth and stream the same list from the service’s app, the playlist is complete. I contacted B&W support and was told that those songs are not licensed for the app. I do not pretend to understand all of the behind the scenes licensing details, but it’s misleading to suggest that I can use this app for all of my streaming listening needs.
