   It appears that the app “updated” during the 5 weeks summer break. But what a terrible update! It is unorganized highly anti-intuition. Difficult to navigate and to look for the videos I want to watch. The no spoiler option is not really no spoiler. You still need to click on the picture of the race weekend you’re looking for and once past that gate all no spoilers are lost. If you click on “riders” you don’t actually see the rides face or name; just the top portion of their leathers and you have to guess who it is or click on it. There are minimal interviews available after the race to watch. On the practice or qual videos the “ambient” setting is gone. On all race, practice, qual videos the hash marks on the bottom video status line, denoting a significant event during the session, are now gone. Congratulations MotoGP video pass. You’ve managed to go backwards in the update and create an unwatchable app.

2. 2/5Still No Spoiler option!

   Update: still no spoilers option, this means ever single race had been spoiled since this update. So basically MotoGp wants you to watch this live, ok, too bad it crashes and goes pixelated every 5-10 minutes. This is unacceptable for a $170 app. I LOVE MotoGP but this will be the last year I sign up if this option doesn’t come back by the end of the season. Please Please Please fix this. Ive never experience such a terrible app update ever! No more “no spoilers” option, it’s impossible to find the races and qualifying without seeing results. Still crashes like crazy (which its always done)What an embarrassment. Ive been paying for Moto GP for 7 years, this will be my last year unless this is completely fixed. What about the website? Even worse. If it wasn’t an total waste of time id ask for my money back.

3. 5/5Love the MotoGP App and Coverage

   I’m a 20+ year fan of MotoGP and over the years I’ve had to scramble to find where the races and coverage would be broadcast here in the USA. Since I’ve purchased the MotoGP package 5-6 years ago, I now go to one source for my viewing coverage, whereby I get everything I ever wanted to know about the riders, teams, calendars, stats, and anything else one could imagine. The only thing I wish would be included are the pre-season, seasonal, and post-season practice sessions on-demand. If Doran could add these sessions On-Demand so that fans could watch at their leisure, that would be wonderful. Otherwise I’m thoroughly impressed and satisfied with the package and coverage.

4. 5/5App upgrade stuck in some weird upgrade loop

   Opened the app as I normally do and was promptly asked and actually required to upgrade for the “New 2025 Experience”. Was directed to the app store and selected upgrade as I was prompted to do. The app updated then prompted me to open the app. No problem, right? Wrong! Now the app is stuck in some weird loop such that after I’ve upgraded I’m prompted to upgrade again and once again directed to the App Store to upgrade. Arrive at the App Store and it indicates that the app is upgraded and prompts me to open the app, which I do again. App opens and I’m prompted to upgrade and then directed to the App Store which again indicates that the app is upgraded and I’m prompted to open the app. I do that and once again I’m prompted to upgrade in this frustratingly weird circular loop of god knows what. Have deleted the app and reinstalled twice only for it to continue to do the same thing over and over and over again. Hey developers, what’s going on? Please fix this or at the very least offer some help here, thanks…

5. 1/5Dissapointed again with Apple TV stutter and stop during live events

   In the US, generally the only way to watch MotoGP live is via Dorna’s MotoGP subscription. I have been a subscriber for a number of years now. Every year, I submit an issue to their support team indicating I had stutters or a complete stream stop during live events. This is on my wired ethernet connected 4K Apple TV with Gigabit fiber ethernet. My network and internet are capable of >800 Mbps sustained data transfers from sources that can provide that much data. The response is always two things: 1. We can cancel your sub and refund you 2. Use a Wi-Fi device and “cast” to your TV If I get the refund, then I cannot watch events in the US. Using a device other than my Apple TV is inconvenient, adds more steps, hinders my ability to use that device if needed for something else during the event, and seems just plain wrong. If they don’t want users using the Apple TV application, they should not provide it for use. If they continue to provide an Apple TV application, then it should be updated to stream at least as well as non-Apple TV iOS devices. I love MotoGP, and usually the application is “good enough” to “great”. But their support and inability to say anything other than “don’t use our application on that hardware” is bad. Probably because they have no real competition.
