I enjoy being able to read this international model magazine on my iPad. In the past, access to such magazines was a challenge. I'm impressed with the content and presentation of Model Airplane International. The writing and photos are of appreciable quality. The only nitpick is the app often doesn't open successfully, leaving you on the splash screen.

If you want instant access to this kind of content, this app will work but improvements are on the way. I purchased all three model titles as this is the best value for money. I'm looking forward to future versions!

1/5Lost Issues After Last Update
I lost 2 years of back issues after the last update. So far I have tried everything but no luck. The help desk has been not been any help other than to tell me to delete the app and reload it. Up until that time this was a 5 star app for me. I much prefer to read magazines on my iPad so hopefully the will be more “bug fixes” in the future. Until then I will not be supporting this app.

Downloaded thinking this was an app used for modeling your own plane but it’s only an app that makes you waste your money on stupid magazines about model planes

First impression of this app is desperately bad. I'm a paper copy subscriber who decided to renew electronically. I selected the free issue and paid for a 12-month subscription. After waiting for the free issue to download, when I tap "Read," my iPad flashes white and then goes black. Period. That's the interface to the free issue. Tap the screen and I get the text field "Page" and that's it. Swipe? Nothing. All I can do is tap the Home icon. Since the app knows my name and address, I figured it would know I already possess the issue it looks like they're prompting me now to download (they mailed it to me last week). So—assuming I ever get this app so I can actually see *some* magazine issue—it looks like the app will force me to buy this one issue twice. Painful. Poorly designed and poorly implemented. Bad experience. Tomorrow in the light of a new day, I'll see if I can get anything to work, or if I'll be spending time with the publisher getting my money back.
