  1. 4/5Grate app needs some improvement!

I’ve been trying out Mixy, and I think it has a lot of potential. The concept is super fun — being able to mix different songs together so easily makes it feel creative and personal, even if you’re not a music expert. The app is easy to navigate, and I like how smooth it feels when it’s working properly. Definitely a great idea, and something I haven’t seen done this well in a while. That said, I did run into some issues. The biggest one for me was logging in — it took around 20 minutes before I could even access the app. Not sure if it was server overload or just a bug, but it was kind of frustrating. Also, while I haven’t had any crashes myself, I’ve heard from friends and family that the app has been crashing on them pretty often. So the experience definitely seems to vary depending on the person or device. Still, I want to be fair because the app just launched today. For a first release, it’s really impressive, and I know early bugs are common. That’s why I’m giving it 4 stars instead of lower — I can see the vision and I think it just needs a little polishing. Suggestions for the developers: • Fix the login issue — maybe add a loading message or retry option so users know what’s going on • Look into stability/crash reports across devices • Maybe add a feedback button in the app so we can report bugs directly Overall, I’m excited to see where Mixy goes. Once some of these issues are ironed out, I think it’s going to be a really fun and popular app. Looking forward to future updates! ❤️

  2. 4/5Love it but there are some issues

I love the fact that we can make mashups really easily but sometimes the pitch of the songs do not harmonize, making it sound weird. Also, a 5 dollar weekly subscription just for things we should already have for free makes me a bit irritated because the mashups are gonna sound weird because i can’t change the sections. And the speed of the songs also do not match when i make it and it makes the songs sound like there’s 2 separate songs playing at the same time. Some of the songs do sound good though so i’m not as annoyed. I do love the concept of this app though and i believe it will live up to its potential!! 👌

  3. 3/5Great idea, but the app needs major improvements

I love the concept of Mixy — combining two songs into one is such a fun and creative idea. But the app feels too limited and needs a lot more work to be worth using regularly. One of the biggest issues is that you can’t choose which lyrics you want to use. The app picks certain parts of the song for you, and you’re stuck with that. Users should be able to view the full lyrics and select the exact lines they want. That would allow for more creativity and better mixes. The music library also needs to be bigger and more up-to-date. Right now, there’s not enough variety. It would be awesome if users could filter songs by genre — like R&B, pop, hip-hop, country — and then choose songs and lyrics from there. The design of the app is also very plain. It could use more color, energy, and features to make the mixing experience more engaging. Plus, the mixing tools are basic — we need options to adjust tempo, pitch, beats, and more. Lastly, the price is a big issue. $5 per week is just too much for what the app offers. That’s $20 a month, and it doesn’t feel worth it. A better option would be charging $5 every two or three weeks, or once a month. Also, some of the features behind the membership should really be available for free. It doesn’t make sense to charge for things that should be part of the base experience. Overall, Mixy has potential, but right now it feels too limited, too expensive, and not customizable enough. I love the app keep at it 👍👍

  4. 1/5good until it wasn’t

first of all, it would’ve been way easier if the developer actually stuck to a release date instead of pushing it forward multiple times. whenever i first downloaded the app, i wasn’t able to sign in which was a problem for many others as well. when I was able to sign in a week later, i was trying to test run some random songs to see if this app actually worked and it did to some extent. after my second mashup, i either had to pay, or wait 24 hours to make another one. i wasn’t even able to change stuff to make the mashup sound better without paying. this app is seriously misguiding and i dont recommend if you just wanna play around with this app, but i do recommend if you wanna make one or two low quality mashups with unavailable customizable features unless you wanna pay, and wait a day to make more.

  5. 2/5Meh

There were TikToks advertising this app that made it look way better than it is. It's just a not so good stem separator, like AI. The quality of both songs is really bad, it only lets you do short sections of songs, and there's no way to edit levels if the vocals or beat is too quiet. On the other hand the TikToks I watched never had problems, seemingly every song had magical perfect quality and went together perfectly. In the actual app this is almost never the case. You will get mixes where it doesn't even get the right audio from one of the songs, so one track is basically silent, the quality is atrocious, or it doesn't even try to sync them up in terms of bpm or section. Like I said, when I would watch videos of the app on TikTok before it was released, it magically seemed able to do all of these things.
