1/5MH is delaying patient care & risking patients lives.
Mobile Heartbeat is an unreliable communication app that we were required to put on our personal phones for emergencies at the hospital I work at. This is the only communication system we have. We get notifications sometimes hours later for hospital emergency situations like codes & airway emergencies. This app is putting patients lives at risk and delaying care. This week mobile heartbeat was not working and we had no way to communicate with other departments in the hospital. This is 100% unacceptable and mobile heart beat should not be used in the hospital setting where seconds counts. It would be 100% safer to go back to pagers or spectra-links.

1/5Unreliable, buggy, primitive
Unfortunate choice of messaging app. Makes you wonder how large healthcare systems make decisions about which vendor to adopt.

1/5Notifications don’t work
Unless I open the app, the notifications don’t work on iOS 13.6. I have everything enabled in the notification tab, yet nothing gets sent to my phone unless the app is open.

2/5Mobile Pager. Works alright. Too many notifications
As an IM resident my hospital mandated we put this on our phone. I appreciate the technology and has helped for quick texts with ancillary staff. The bad. Broadcasts. They’re crap. I don’t need to be notified when offline of a broadcast, nor 2+ days later after a weekend off. Stop them please. Also, please for the love of god I don’t need a “reminder” less than 1 minute after the initial page. This is asinine. I get 2 notifications for every page I receive. And THEN I get a third hecking notification when I open the app. And god forbid if I get a page while paging something else. The app will STILL notify me a minute after I close the app about a new page which I already responded to. Also, this app destroys your phone battery. I have a brand new iPhone 11 and need to charge it halfway through the day. But! If nothing else, fix the hecking notifications. Holy cow.
