5/5Coolest music app on the market
I was scrolling on Pinterest when I found this app and decided to check it out. It was amazing from the get go! The sync was really nice, and they found a really nice way to integrate the UX and UI design! I loved how it worked like a real vinyl too, you can put the needle anywhere on the vinyl and it plays at that point in the song, not the beginning! I thought it was a really cool app, it’s just kinda annoying how it says to pay in big letters in the bottom, making the navigation kinda confusing. But even then, the lifetime membership is really cheap, only $15 dollars! Whether it’s worth the price is if you plan to use it a lot or want cool widgets on your phone screen like an iPod/radio/vinyl actually spinning on your Home Screen, or wanna get rid of ads, etc! The ads tend to be quite long but don’t pop up too often, although kind of often. But for only $15 it is a good price to pay imo. Super cool app, definitely recommend!

3/5Great Concept, currently just a gimmick.
I downloaded this app and bought the one-time pro package on a whim; Worth mentioning the app is basically unusable without it, but for $6 (+1 for not using a subscription model), not bad. This app is pretty good, nothing is clunky, the features that are there work well. However, in my opinion it lacks a lot of features to make it worth the premium. I shouldn’t need to use apple music to play my songs. Why not an option to search records like you would in a record crate as a search option. Also, why use individual tracks when playing? There should be an option to play an album and skip around to each individual track, like a real record player. Maybe even .45 records for singles/ep’s?On that note, where is the personalization? For an app focused on aesthetic, a handful of widgets and colors doesn’t cut it for me. I think the ability to customize your vinyl by creating, sharing, and importing mockups would be great. More than 5 colors of the same record player would definitely be welcome too. The widgets are nice but there definitely needs to be more options for those too, in terms of coloring at the bare minimum. Overall, I’m choosing to be positive and I see a lot of potential in this app. Its current features run smoothly and I feel that given some time this app could really take off. Until then though, it serves purely as an app for those looking for a half-aesthetic gimmick.

2/5Fun but Glitchy Gimmick
I like the idea behind the app since I find it aesthetically pleasing but the widget is so glitchy (I have an iPhone 16 pro, running on the newest IOS). I can’t access the vinyl app from the widget (clicking it does nothing despite the app settings indicating it should open the app) and often times the widget just completely greys out, and I have to re-add the widget to my home screen to get it to work again. Also, the record image on the widget doesn’t update automatically between songs. You have to switch back-and-forth between the vinyl app and your home screen to get the widget’s record image to update. The widget is the main thing that it has going for it in my opinion, since you can’t select songs or playlists from directly within the vinyl app (it only has a forward, back, and play/pause button) - you have to go to whatever your primary music app is to select a particular song. In which case, you end up using your primary music app most of the time anyway. One feature I really would like to see added (after the bugs are fixed) is the ability for the widget background to be transparent. It would just really elevate the home screen much more. In my opinion, it’s not worth the $5 or however much I paid with these issues. I will say I do really appreciate that they didn’t try to charge a subscription. That is a MAJOR plus.

5/5Great app
This is a really great app. I recommend spending the few dollars for a more expansive use of the widgets such as the record player widget, the radio widget or the vinyl widget. You can customize each to a different color and sizes; overall you just get more customizable options when you pay the few dollars which I love. My only complaint is that the widget sometimes doesn’t show what song is playing like sometimes it’ll show the song that was previously played and not the current song that is playing. But it can be easily fixed when you go into the app. This is only a small issue so I will give credit where it’s due and keep it at 5 stars!

4/5Good for what it is
I know this app is pretty new but I took the risk and spent the $10 even though I think it’s a bit steep. There is however an annoying bug that happens infrequently that forgets my preferred streaming service when I open the app, and then by default plays Come Together by the Beatles??? I hate the Beatles. I’m hoping you guys keep up the good work and add more cool features especially for the widget. 4 stars till the Beatle bug is squashed. EDIT: this bug is fixed, thanks all guys. Also I was wondering when the possibility of having a fully fuctional CarPlay widget working? It will say the name of the album/song and might sometimes change the color of the vinyl, but doesn’t show an album cover, and the record does not spin. Other than that I really enjoy this app
