   I came across a statement from mavn that left me utterly disappointed and feeling deceived. The claim goes, "At mavn, we believe that follower count shouldn't be the sole determining factor for opportunities. We value creators of all sizes, recognizing their unique talents and contributions. Whether you have a million followers or not, you can apply and be a part of our thriving community." Unfortunately, my experience with mavn contradicted this statement entirely. It's disheartening to encounter a platform that outwardly claims to value creators of all sizes while, in reality, appears to place immense importance on follower count. The discrepancy between their advertised philosophy and their actions couldn't be more glaring. In practice, it's evident that mavn heavily favors those with a substantial following, effectively shutting out smaller creators. They set an arbitrary threshold of 10,000 followers for acceptance into their community, which directly contradicts their supposed inclusive approach. This is not only false advertising but also profoundly unfair to aspiring creators who are just starting or haven't reached that follower count milestone. It's crucial for platforms to be honest about their criteria for acceptance and not mislead potential users with promises of inclusivity that they don't actually uphold. mavn's actions have shown that, despite their claims, they do prioritize follower count over recognizing and nurturing the unique talents of creators of all sizes. My experience with mavn left me questioning their integrity and commitment to supporting creators, regardless of their follower count. I hope they reevaluate their policies to align with their advertised values and genuinely become a platform that welcomes and empowers creators at all stages of their journey.

2. 5/5By far the best influencer marketing experience I’ve had

   An associate referred me to mavn for a product testimonial and event influencer campaign my agency was producing for a client. My agency has worked with various content creator/influencer marketplaces with mixed results thinking this was just a new version of the same thing. I was honestly wrong, I had no idea how involved their team was going to be with our campaign. My thought was that it was going to be an app that I made a profile for and random “influencers” would bid for a chance to waste our budget on. The mavn team got in touch with us directly, coordinated the entire process of finding THE influencers that made sense for our campaign from those who applied… then handled the back end paperwork/payment without us having to do much but a couple calls and focusing on the event and campaign assets. The analytics was a great cherry on top for finally seeing the value from our dollars spent. Couldn’t recommend them enough for influencer marketing.
