1. 4/5Good idea, bad execution

   The idea is really good. Unfortunately, it is more like a place to see people who likes the same music and send them some recommendations. It is not functional as a dating app which defeats the whole purpose since they promote it that way. When you get the premium version, you can change the location of your search such as 100KM etc. But you do not know how close and far away they are. They should also add things such as age and location on everyone’s profiles so dating would be easier knowing how close they are. In the U.S., they are still a small app but getting users slowly so it is not a bad idea to check it out. If you like rap, r&b, hiphop and pop, that is a good app for you since 99% of the users listen to those genres. I personally like metal so it is hard to find people with similar music taste since it still has a small audience. As i said, idea is really cool but they need to change it to a dating app. They should implement more options and things that would confirm the claim that it is a dating app. I hope they make the changes some time soon.

2. 1/5Avoid Like the Plague!

   Genius app idea - horrific execution. Payment pop ups are insanely manipulative making you think you have to pay, then you have to scroll to the bottom of the page, and all the way back up to the top and then wait for a hidden timer to finish before the ‘x’ button will appear as an option. Not even 30 seconds into my first use of the app and these pop ups are pestering me. Here’s a thought, let me actually try your app for a few minutes on the free version before I decide if I want to give you my money. Furthermore, it asks you to review the app in the app store right after you make a profile… Like what? I haven’t even used your app yet. Annoying. 1 star for such little diligence confirming the onboarding workflow for new users. Due to the manipulative and scammy feeling pay windows with the hidden/delayed exit button I’m writing this bad review and deleting my account in protest. Sad because I liked the idea and would’ve told all my friends about this app. But nope, not now. I hope executive leadership reads this and decides to implement more ethical payment windows that don’t try to trick or manipulate users into thinking they have to pay for something to keep using it before they’ve even gotten five minutes to try it out. Huge failure and miss. I’ll be back if there’s a change in strategy.

   This app is completely littered with bots to an extent that finding a real profile is nearly impossible. And I’ve read through plenty of reviews for this app and noticed countless others complaining about the exact same problem only to be met with copy-and-pasted responses from the developers themselves claiming that this is not the case. The reason behind lying about this obvious issue is not of any concern to myself. However, from a genuinely honest point of view (as I will be uninstalling this app now), the developers lying through their teeth when confronted with a serious critique from countless users not only shines a negative light upon themselves, but also is incredibly counter-productive; as many of these reviews are many years old, and yet the problem persists in 2025. So my advice to the developers is to focus less on saving their app’s image — as it actually has the opposite effect — and instead focus more on fixing the issues that countless consumers have reported year after year in order to make this dating app even semi-usable and competitive in its market. P.S. This app has incredible potential. However, the issue with fake accounts should not be ignored any longer. And to anybody potential buyer reading this, please save your time and energy and don’t download this app.

4. 5/5This app is not the best

   The concept for this app is amazing and how the layout, format, and even design are great. There are still a lot of problems with it. While you insta-match with anyone with just the music you listen too, most of those people are just bots, AI’s, or scammers looking to make a quick buck through the people that are genuinely trying to make a connection with others. While you can report them, it still won’t matter as while one will get reported of even ban, three more with take their place. The paywall for the app is ridiculous as well. Become a platinum member just to see WHO LIKES YOU! That is beyond the levels of greed and avarice. I don’t know if the actual developers had the original idea to create an amazing concept of a dating or even meeting like minded people through music or decided that this was the next big buck idea for lonely shmucks. Either way, the developers need to find a better way to tell the difference between a real person, a bot, an AI, and a scammer.

5. 3/5Needs improvements

   From someone who works in social media Makro has a ton of potential! But they need to expand their audience greatly. The users are mostly people who live in Turkey, and that’s fine but I live in the USA. I don’t speak Turkish so if Makro continues to grow their audience or try to there will be major language barrier between users and people who are not Turkish will likely not stick around at the start, that’s how this stuff works. Makro should allow users to choose location without pay for that exact reason or at least let users have the option to be global or not. I have met only ONE person on the app who does not live in turkey. Makro made the mistake of making you pay for location. If Makro wants to be global and reach a large audience they HAVE to get rid of the Paid location, because my entire feed is in Turkish. I cannot read Turkish, if I want Turkish on my feed I should have the option to be able to see it. This exact reason will make people who are not Turkish delete the app! People have said to me “why are you here this is a Turkish app” and I’m pretty sure that’s not what Makro wants. Honestly, Makro should hire me.
