   Macrostax has helped me plan out several meals days in advance, whether it’s a workout day or rest day, which is essential to hit all my macros without deviation or worrying about eating the last few grams of random macros. The app also provides some tasty recipes that my family will eat too! They have a good variety of different cuisines and love that you can filter recipes by different means like how the meal is prepped (like instant pot, grill, bake, etc), cooking time, and meal type. Also you can add your own customizations to their recipes and save to meals AND you can create your own recipes!! The only thing I wish it had was the fill macros button like in the past! It’s not a deal breaker to me though and I am finding great success with it!

2. 1/5Web based version was perfect, hate it now

   I signed up for Macrostax about a year and a half ago and really loved it. I was able to do weekly planning on the website, create custom recipes, and then use the ‘app’ to makes adjustments on the fly during the week. Loved it so much I joined as a lifetime member just before they launched their new app. Now there is no web version and trying to plan everything on my phone is too cumbersome, eye straining, and many previous features have been removed. The company should have surveyed current users to determine most requested features and implemented them before launching the new app. Now most recipes aren’t available with weight measurements (this is the easiest way for me to cook and serve), and the fill my macros feature still hasn’t been added back. I’ve asked many times for the web version to be reinstated and they say there are no plans for that, but they made sure to add a calculator for counting booze. Priorities are obviously way off. At least I’m a lifetime member and will hopefully be able to use the app again when new changes come. On the plus side they do offer many tasty and easy recipes, the ability to customize recipes, and to copy meals or full days throughout the week.

   I have tried them all. I was a MFP user since they first came out. However over time they have gone downhill. After they started limiting more and more features I began my search for a new app. I tried LoseIt, Calorie Counter, Cronometer, etc - none were user friendly or limited access to features I love (like the scanning feature). Macrostat not only has the scanning feature on their free version, but they are the most user friendly app I have ever used. I love how it shows the macros not only daily but for each meal. I can adjust ingredients very easily from the main screen. If I want more protein from a certain ingredient, I can just adjust the protein and it tells me what serving size I need. Overall I'm very impressed and I hope these features remain free.

   I never write review for apps, but I’ve paid for and used several macro trackers over the years, and this one outshines them by miles. I love the user friendly aspects of this app, and how easy it is to scan barcodes to instantly get the macro. Also, OBSESSED with the recipes they provide. I hate cooking, and have never been great at making a tasty meal (especially one that is healthy) but I have been cooking and meal prepping like crazy with this app and every single meal has been delicious! Even my husband enjoys the meals. They list out the ingredients easily, so shopping for groceries is a breeze, and I love that you can edit/customize the meals and still get accurate macros. I highly recommend this app 👏🏼

   Since using the Macrostax app, I have noticed a big significant difference over other apps I have used in the past to track my food, weight loss and health goals. A big help has been the check ins with the Macrostax staff and also ability to message them for help or questions. Since I started tracking my macros and using the app, I have gotten more in tune with nutrition, eating healthier, better proportions and better quality food. I love aiming to hit the 👍 up in each category which has been a huge help in understanding which carb, protein, or fat I need to to eat to hit whatever goal I have left for that given day. I do not regret switching over to macrostax & I highly recommend this app!
