1. 3/5LOG IN FIXED MUST READ

   I’ve never wrote a review for an app yet but I just needed to share this for my fellow Macmillan users, from my experience on this site everyone including myself had troubles logging in. I’ve tried my tablet, iPhone, and iPad. It all seem not to work. I even tried contacting my school. It turns out that you need to verify your account sent to your email. It’s misleading that the Macmillan keeps saying that stating that the log in is incorrect and that they ask for a link. So now I advise you all to go to your email for a link, it will say you need to make a new password and ask you to make a security question along with an answer to fully let you have access to your ebook. Overall this whole journey was hectic and misleading. It would’ve never happened if they said we needed to verify our account instead of stating our logins are wrong and we needed a link. The app overall is pretty good. It lets has highlight, bookmark, voice memo, search bar and even has book number pages. Unlike the Cengage that was a quick login with no problems, the only pro about it over the Cengage is that Macmillan has page numbers in which I have so much struggling dealing with over at Cengage.

2. 2/5Frustrating User Experience

   Similar to what others have said (3+ years on and they still haven’t fixed it), an e-textbook is interactive with highlighted words that have definitions when you click on them, etc. Half the time when you tap on a word for a definition, the app jumps you forward multiple pages. Same with trying to close the definition. Same with trying to scroll to the next page, etc. Give how much Macmillan is charging us just to rent their e-textbooks, it’s despicable that they won’t hire the right engineers to create a well-built, easy to use app.

3. 1/5How is this website even making money to still be up

   I’ve been using this website for about 3 months, and I swear that I’ve had more issues with logging in then my college studies in total. I try logging in I have to activate 4 times before it works, especially on my computer I buy a book k wanna read it on my computer but I can’t because it force’s me to read it on my phone like are you serious. It’s such a joke I had an issue and I called the help hotline when I asked for help they sounded so clueless leaving me on a call for 2 hours for me to resolve absolutely nothing, not only is the company a joke but the workers, I ask for help and it seems that I know just was much on how their website works, and as for the app I can’t login with out it kicking me out for my phone turning off. SUCH A JOKE ON HOW THIS COMPANY IS STILL ALIVE

4. 1/5HORRIBLE SOFTWARE

   Have been using for about a month now on my iPad. The idea is awesome, download the ebook and read or have it audibly read to you while you drive or are tired of reading. I love the concept, but the app performs horribly. When you touch the screen to interact with the book, the page jumps back about 10 paragraphs or so and it never starts the audio where you want it to. It’s so annoying. You’ll waste about 5-10min with getting the page right when you just want to be proficient. Now I open the app today to study and the book has disappeared. This app is a joke. They need to hire better programmers. I paid for the book and can’t get my money’s worth. Sad

5. 2/5Login issues

   I can access Macmillan perfectly fine on my computer and my professor told us we can use the app to study on the go if we want. However I am unable to login and when I send a reset password email, the email that I get says my account doesn’t exist. I don’t understand how I can access it on my computer but not my phone. I’ve also tried creating an account on my phone but it says my account already exists?? I’ve contacted support and they haven’t been able to help me whatsoever. Very disappointed.
