Thanks for listening with LudyRead! Here's what's new: • Smoother library — covers load faster and scrolling stays silky, even with big collections • In-app feedback — send bug reports or feature requests right from Settings • More reliable playback when you switch apps or lock your phone • Cleaner upgrade — we fixed a crash some of you hit coming from 1.0 • Plus 14 small polish fixes you asked for Enjoying LudyRead? A quick App Store review really helps.

  • 1.2

LudyRead 1.2 brings the audiobook player to many more devices and tightens the playback experience across the board. What's new • iOS 17 support — works on a much wider range of iPhones and iPads now • M4B import via the Files app actually works (was being silently filtered out) • Voice Boost is now applied during playback — the toggle finally does what it says • Smart Silence Skip is wired up — try it from Settings • Listening Stats correctly count sessions ended via AirPods, CarPlay, and Lock Screen pause • Apple Watch complication now shows your current book and progress live, not placeholder • CarPlay no longer freezes when you tap Random Pick on an empty library; clear alert instead • Restore Purchases shows a spinner and a result alert (was silently doing nothing) • Position memory more reliable across cold launches and device migrations via iCloud • Share Sheet now correctly handles audio coming from cloud apps and Mail attachments Plus a thorough audit of "advertised but broken" features — many silent failures fixed, including the M4B picker bug. New end-to-end test coverage so this class of bug doesn't ship again. Thanks for sending feedback. A quick App Store rating helps a lot if you have a moment.

  • 1.3

v1.3 — Reliability sweep • M4B import via AirDrop and “Open in LudyRead” works again. File URLs no longer silently dropped. • Audiobooks up to 4 GB now import cleanly — no more 120 MB cap on the share sheet. • CarPlay voice playback is dependable: ask Siri to play a book and it actually starts. • Crash fixes across the book completion sheet, Now Playing artwork, Apple Watch session, silence skip, and library deletion. • Wi-Fi Upload guides you when Local Network access is needed. Thank you for the feedback — keep it coming.

  • 1.3.1 · 16 May 2026

v1.3.1 — Multi-episode audiobook fix We're sorry. If you imported an audiobook with many episodes and the app marked every later episode as completed after only the first one played — that bug is fixed in this update. What's fixed • Multi-episode books no longer auto-complete after the first chapter ends • Chapter switching no longer crashes the app • Defensive playback engine: frame clamping prevents future variants of this bug • Better recovery if the on-device library fails to migrate after an update If a previous version marked any book finished by mistake, opening it again will pick up from where you actually stopped. Thank you for the detailed reports — please keep them coming.
