   I love how you can control the lights through the app, but I have some suggestions to improve your product and app. The colors that you display as to control the lights through are 2 completely different colors. For example, I chose a light pink in the app for color, and it came out in the actual light as purple. The yellow looks green in real life. I appreciate how you can do a variety of things, but I feel like it is just a bunch of options that do not work very well. I would prefer if there were fewer choices, but more quality for the choices. I would invest more money in an app/ product that has just 1 really good, high effort, light controller. I find the microphone and music setting fascinating , but it does not work very well. Please improve the tint. I have noticed that the colors are very neon, and I would prefer an option for a warm white instead of Florescent white. I fall asleep to the lights, and I find it distracting to see bright neon lights. I understand that there is a brightness option, but the colors still have a florescent tint.    This application may not be convenient or satisfying to everyone, but it is for anyone. This app is perfect for me personally. I can use this app to change RGB lights through Bluetooth. I use this on a product named GUSODOR LED strip lights. The best part, I can still use other Bluetooth device while using the app to change the RGB strips. All you have to do is leave Bluetooth on your phone and it’s that simple. Go back to the app and it automatically connects. It’s very convenient. You can simply change colors or use light effects through the app with just a tap on your mobile device(s). ALERT, it DOES NOT support any other music media or any equalizer applications except musics that were bought from iTunes, which like I said, it’s not convenient or satisfying for everyone. Fortunately for me, I buy my music through iTunes, so it’s not a problem to me or for anyone that purchase their music through iTunes. (The music has to be downloaded through your phone in order for it to show up in the application’s playlist through Music lighting effect mode). However, I just want them to fix a bug where when you leave the lights off through the app, the switch is shown off then closing the application. But, after opening the application, you see that the switch icon is turned back on even though the lights are appeared to be off. It does throw me off because I can’t tell whether I left the lights on or off when I’m away from my room. Other than that, it’s an amazing app to use.

3. 3/5I honestly don’t know what to think…

   I’d like you to read this before you get the app and/or get the LED lights that go with this app. Like the title suggests, I really don’t know what to think about this app. when this app is treating me well, it’s cool: it lets you customize the colors to exactly what you want, and if can fade, flash, and has a static option. That part is cool… but then the rest gets me mad, specifically the music part, where the colors never correspond with the sound and I know 2 of the many options of music. The microphone part just seems low quality in general—I speak into my phone and it barely picks up, then the colors are just flashing randomly instead of flowing with my voice. All in all it’s fine if you just want something to control your lights, but I wouldn’t recommend if you want something that really satisfies you. Thanks for reading! :)

4. 2/5How do so many LED light companies trust this app.

   This review is gonna be really short because I have no experience to describe, considering how i couldn’t even get my devices (yes, plural) to connect! I got multiple different products, an LED infinity cube, a light stick, and a light strip, all 3 of them from different brands, but yet all 3 told me to use this app as the remote. It’s crazy how so many LED light companies trust this app because I couldn’t get a single one of the devices to connect. It sounds like many other people online have had the exact same problem. I could barely even find any answers. I followed every single step that was listed in the VERY few tutorial videos and articles I was able to find. It still didn’t work. The app itself doesn’t even have clear instructions. The only thing that mentions connecting new devices in the instructions is literally ONE sentence long and just says to make sure that bluetooth is turned on on your phone and the device will just pop up, which never happened.

5. 1/5BEWARE: Make your lights complicated

   I would not recommend the Lotus Lantern app to anyone. These are not smart lights at all. Extremely limited control, and the app does a terrible job managing even that. What should be a simple task like turning lights on or changing colors becomes a frustrating and unreliable experience. The app gives no clear indication of which device is being controlled or what its current state is, so you are left guessing and hoping something happens. If you have more than one set of lights, the experience completely falls apart. Device management is chaotic, home groups can be created but not meaningfully edited, and there is no confirmation that commands were actually applied. Control is limited to IR and BLE only, with no real automation or intelligence. The privacy alert on IOS appearing in Chinese is a major red flag and strongly suggests little to no quality assurance or consideration for users outside its original market. If negative stars were an option, I would use them. RETURNED. NEVER AGAIN.
