   First I want to make a point that you can’t separate rating this app and the costumer service of LOT Polish airlines. The reason being the functionality of this app as a whole is in question. The glitches like: saving the country of your residence, problems with retrieving or actualization of your booking (displaying error) etc. are just minor issues that should be addressed. However the bigger problem is that you are unable to resolve the issues concerning your flight with this app alone - you need to contact their customer service and they are a friggin’ nightmare! Why is it a scam? Well, how would you call it if: •your return flight (that you booked through their app sic!) was cancelled. •Your booking hadn’t been updated and you weren’t informed about the cancellation (I found out when I was trying to check in for my flight and the app was displaying an error); •the customer service was not only unhelpful but also rude - said that all they can do is to reimburse the cost of your return flight ONLY (from your round trip) and you have to get yourself new flight on your own - they won’t even assist you with rebooking; • you had to then book your new flight on your own and last minute through a different provider which naturally incurred high cost of the new ticket (way above the price of the whole trip!); No wonder I consider all the above actions to be fraudulent and knowing that I would’ve NEVER purchased the flight through them in the first place (nor will I do it ever again). If only they had spent as much time focusing on fixing the app or providing actual SERVICE for their customers as they do on “fixing” their ratings in the App Store! (Rating 4.8- How is that even possible?!!!)- knowing first hand how horrible mine or other people’s experience was with them.

   The app is buggy. It did not take in the country of passport issuance despite several attempts. Had to complete the check in online. Moreover, the first flight leg LAX to WAW boarding pass would not go into Apple Wallet while the second flight pass did go in. Go, figure out. Lastly, does not allow to change the account contact email address. It is “grayed out”.

   The latest update of this app prevents it even from loading. The app is stuck on the start page and won’t go forward. Even before that, when I could use the app, the functionality was very limited. You could not effectively change your flight or select seats. You had do call them, and LOT would charge you $46 for just taking your call + any change fees. They said you I should have used their app or site to modify my flight but when I told them that the app / site functionality was broken, they verified it and waived the fee. LOT is a cheap service, and I don’t mean “inexpensive”. Buggy, outdated, low budget without any regard for their customers. Very disappointed.

   The app errors out when attempting to add electronic boarding pass to the Apple wallet. The app wouldn’t let me pre pay for bags, resulting in nearly double charge for bags at the airport. The app would not let me pick up seats without collecting money for the privilege of picking my seats. As a result the app assigned seats randomly and split me and my daughter and seated us away from each other, even though we were on the same reservation. It’s impossible to contact customer service to fix any errors. Avoid the app and by extension, the airline.

5. 1/5Impossible to check in on the app for return flights

   This app does not work when trying to check in for return flights. It says that some information for the passenger is missing, even though NOTHING is missing. Also, on the app, adding boarding passes to Apple Wallet does not work, ever. To check-in you are forced to use the web version instead, which works after 1-2 attempts. This is typical European software engineering where NOTHING has been tested, and no basic QA has been completed. Absolute disaster. LOT product managers, if you are reading this, take the 3 seconds to write some test cases in JIRA, and, you know, try using your own app.
