5/5Works. Could be better.
I left an earlier 2-star review because of a bug that made all my thumbnails the same so I couldn't tell which was which. But after reporting this bug they were able to fix it, and the most recent version (December 2022) works fine. It was frustrating updating from the previous version, however. It did not happen automatically, so I finally had to delete the app, download a new copy, and re-enter my videos. It is now working well for me. The video quality is great and by using Airplay I can display video loops on my large TV screen. I cannot give the app 5 stars, though, because the UI is so poor. It's a very simple app, so it's not too hard to figure out, but the interactions and visual design could be much better. A tad frustrating, but it does the job.

I really like being able to link multiple clips, and have them play in a loop. It’s really easy, and fast to transfer your Dropbox Vids over. What would make it even better, would to be able to link my Google Drive, and speed adjustment. Worth purchasing

This app is amazing, but lately, whenever I access the app, it just freezes completely and I can’t do anything to fix it. I’ve already come across this issue once. I just shut down my iPad, restarted it, and the problem was gone. I did the same thing this time, however the app still freezes. I can swipe thru my vids as soon as it’s accessed but I can’t press on the videos or add new ones. Do you know why this might be happening?

3/5Add a proper gallery view when uploading
After all these years, when adding videos from camera roll, there is still only a long list of every video on the phone. This makes finding older videos very tedious. It would be much easier to have access to the folders like every other app that accesses camera roll. This is even more painful when it suddenly stops playing videos, saying “expired internal links”.

Getting the video files into the app requires Dropbox to download the videos, but once they are loaded, Dropbox is not required. Importing via OSX iTunes via Files for app isn't available. The most annoying thing is creating a "playlist" of multiple videos is great but there's no way to save that playlist to be used later. The playlist has to be created each time the app is first launched. Very simple interface. No features.

The user can select hidden videos from the Video Gallery in Loopideo. Added the ability to change video titles in Loopideo. Fixed a bug causing videos to have duplicate thumbnails. Loopideo won't be able to access hidden videos if they are locked by Face ID or Touch ID. Open the Settings app and tap Photos. Next, toggle the switch next to “Use Face ID” (or Touch ID) to disable. This only applies to iOS 16 users. Renaming a video in Loopideo will not alter the underlying video file name.
