  1. 5/5Best Fashion app

I was surprised by how easy this app is to use. Using this app feels like I’m swiping through fashion catalogs & the best part is that it quickly learns my style preference🤗. It’s making shopping Fun again Instead of me spending hours searching for one outfit, it shows me cute outfits that actually matches my taste & It’s fun & a convenient way to discover new fashion pieces and get outfit inspiration.

  2. 1/5Cool idea, execution needs serious work

I heard about this app on Reddit in a postpartum subreddit and I thought it would be the perfect way to help me The idea is really cool. The avatar of me that they created is actually a really good match, like she could be my sister with a similar face and body type. I enjoyed swiping through the outfits. There were some issues, like I kept getting business casual wear and I gave feedback that I WFH and don’t need business casual clothes and was still getting them recommended. That said, there were some outfits I really liked and was excited about. When you find an outfit you want to buy, this is where things go downhill. I was under the impression based on the description that the app actually shows you real outfit options, but that’s misleading. Instead it showed me “similar” options, but of course they’re not similar at all. You might as well just Google “blue A-line dress” and see what comes up, because that’s as close as the options they direct you to are. Genuine question for the developers: what is the point of this app? I thought it was meant to help users find clothing to purchase and be able to get an idea of what it could look like on, but right now it’s not doing that. It seems like the core function of this app needs work before it’s of any use.

  3. 2/5Strong idea, weak personalization execution (especially on style learning)

I really like the idea behind this app. Using ML to actually learn your style and recommend outfit outfits on you instead of generic models is a strong concept and the reason I tried it. But right now, the personalization doesn’t feel dialed in enough to justify premium. For example, I constantly swipe towards bolder colors, but most outfits I’m shown (4/5) still feel pretty bland and don’t reflect that preference. I can see the recommendations happening, but it still feels too generic and not quite truly “learned.” There are also some inconsistencies in realism and overall output quality that may experience feel more like an early stage product than something ready to be paid for. Outfits I really like often do not have good links to purchase similar outfits. Like the waist line or the collar will be completely wrong on the recommended ones when the one in the photo is very good as it looks, but not available for purchase or at least not displayed in the app as something that can be bought. Really promising direction, but the core value isn’t fully there yet. If I remember, I’ll try to come back to this in six months and see how it’s developed.

  4. 1/5Could be really cool

This could be great eventually. Unfortunately the daily generated outfits don’t tend to actually exist. Click to buy links will either show something perfect that’s only available in one size on a resale site, take you to an item that’s been completely sold out for over a year, or show options that look nothing like the original suggestion. The AI in the ask tab is very hobbled, if it had access to the explore tab it might be quite useful. I cancelled my premium membership because I could never actually buy any pieces that I clicked through on! It was really fun seeing the AI generated pics of how I’d look in different styles. Sadly the AI can’t remember basic instructions such as “don’t suggest jumpsuits, I have a very long torso and jumpsuits have never fit me”. You’ll still get multiple jumpsuit suggestions every day. So much potential and it just isn’t there yet. If they improve the AI’s access and responsiveness and make explore suggestions show items that are (1) actually and reasonably available to buy and (2) responsive to user input and feedback, then I’ll make my rating higher. This is a cool idea, they’re just really failing in execution. I might try to program ChatGPT to do something like this.

  5. 4/5Fun experience overall, could use some tweaking

I’ve been using this app for about two months now, and enjoy it a lot overall. It’s been really fun to see different styles on myself that I wouldn’t necessarily reach for on my own, which has given me some good outfit inspo. I’ve even bought a few pieces that were suggested. However, one flaw that another reviewer mentioned is that sometimes you cannot buy items that are shown - they don’t seem to actually exist or are already out of stock. One thing that would be useful to add in my opinion is a “super like” feature to designate which generated outfits are our absolute favorites, since there have been a select few I’ve gotten that seem far better than the others. It would also be helpful when sorting through all of my likes to quickly be able to find the best of the best. I do feel that the generated suggestions sometimes get stuck on specific items if you’ve requested them through the ask feature before, and can oversaturate your feed with very similar suggestions based on that rather than mixing in asks but keeping up a good variety. The new feature to edit suggested looks is useful and very fun to play around with, but I have run into the same issue with it every time I use it - if you edit an outfit and then subsequently swipe right on it to like it, it won’t show up in your looks afterwards and seems to disappear entirely. Basically, right now you can only save the unedited version of an outfit. It’s disappointing to spend time getting a look to be perfect and then losing your visual reference for it, so it makes me hesitant to use it, even though it’s a cool feature. One thing that isn’t necessarily an issue for me, but I’m not sure if it’s working properly, is the photo backgrounds. Sometimes I get cool scenes, but about half of the time I just see a blank white background. Overall, this app has a unique concept that is really fun when it works, but could use some further fine tuning to improve user experience. I’m excited to see what updates come out in the future.
