1. 5/5Best Game Ever!

   Literally the best game ever :) so cute and fun. I think the art style is so adorable and unique compared to other games. I love the livlies, decorating my island, and dressing up my hom. There’s new gachas every week and the first few spins are discounted which is great for helping you build up your inventory. If you spin a gacha 50 times, you get to pick any item you want as a bonus gift! Every month they give out a free 2k of the currency via a fun little riddle and it really comes in handy. New livlies come out every week too! There is always fresh content being added, including events for holidays and free items; they often update the app to make it better. You can tell they really care about improving the game as much as possible. All that’s missing in my opinion is a way to filter through our inventory to find items easier, and a way to post pictures of our islands/outfits to share with friends! These additions would make the game absolutely perfect. I personally don’t mind that we can only trade duplicate items because I like to keep one of every item I get anyway, but maybe also giving us a way to get rid of items we only have one of would be good too. But yeah anyways this is my favorite game ever and if you read this far you should definitely download and give it a try!!!! :D <3

2. 4/5Fun game, difficult to recover accounts

   This game is really fun and I have recommended it to many people. The community in the game is really lovely and friendly, and communication has been made easy between language barriers. I’ve played it for nearly a year now and the collections are really cute! Of course, the livly pets are all well designed and lovable, too. The artwork is great and the animations and sound effects are really well done, and the music you can get for your island is also really good! The only drawback is how difficult it is to recover your account if you get logged out. It’s tied to your phone, and you’ll be unable to make any other account in the same phone anyways, so I’m not sure why it’s part of the app. The process of contacting the company and multiple immediate responses over email, including having to resend the same information multiple times, took over a week and a half of back and forth. A lot of content in that time was missed (unfortunately it lined up with a limited time daily gift event I was looking forward to), without any way to recover or make up for it. I recommend making a note of your account information for yourself if you ever run into that issue, because twice since I recovered the account I’ve been logged back out again for no reason. Hopefully in the future there’s a 2 factor verification or something similar instead of a difficult to recover password that requires people to be contacted individually, I can’t imagine that is easy to handle on the admin side and will only get harder as the player base grows.

3. 5/5Fantastic Cozy App

   Livly Island is a fantastic option for a cozy dress up game. The fact that it’s entirely possible and realistic to get the items you want and play for free is super encouraging. The ability to trade with other players and the ability to do dailies for both currencies is fantastic. In addition to the art style being absolutely adorable and all of the cosmetics being so interesting and unique, the playability of the game is better than most apps i’ve downloaded. I REALLY appreciate the total absence of ads. It’s so hard to find games that are truly and completely ad free, and this game offers exactly that! I can’t personally afford to buy any of the coin packs, but they’re there for those who can, and the best part is that the game isn’t unplayable without them. Because I can afford to support this game once a month for a couple dollars, I did get the G.L.L. membership. The G.L.L. feels a little lacking at the moment, but i love the opportunity for extra daily tasks, and having a new area to explore. It seems like more is in the works for G.L.L. so i’m excited to see what that means. One of my only qualms is that I wish i could send some of my single items as gifts that i truly don’t want and won’t wear. You can only trade duplicates. It’d be nice to gift some single items i’m not using to my irl best friends. Or even convert them to a currency or something. Overall I think this app is a great concept, it’s cozy, and i really appreciate that it avoids generating fomo as a cash grab by allowing gachas to stay open for a generous amount of time. i’ve been playing daily for about 2 or 3 full months now. I intend to keep playing long-term and to keep my G.L.L. subscription open to keep supporting the app.

4. 2/5Money grab

   After playing for a little over a month I realize this game is a total money grab, the in game currency is impossible to get in a timely manner especially with how many events you would want to participate in to keep up with players who pay for memberships who have it way easier. everything is unnecessarily expensive or hard to get, for instance the current event is the Bazaar that comes around maybe twice a year that people go crazy for, this event allows you to draw from a limited new set, these draws cost 3,900 in game currency for one draw of 15 items up to 4,900 per draw for just 3 SR items. it takes a couple WEEKS to save 4900 so obviously you’ll either need to miss out on the event or purchase the expensive currency they offer, this cost around $6! For as little as 1,070 of in game currency and an upwards of $75 for 14,000. On top of that you have to use that currency for every other aspect of the game such as collecting livlys, you can make a ton of potions but none of them will be useable unless you spend the 1000gp on ONE pod to keep another livly, conclusion, you would have to have no life at all, grinding this game constantly to get anywhere without spending real hard earned money, and by then it would just be boring and not worth it because if you don’t have items from new packs people are way less inclined to trade with you, and trading is the ONLY other thing to do on this game other than waist you money.

5. 3/5Serious Feedback

   So far, it’s been nearly endlessly enjoyable with so many themes, cute pets, and chat features to add and make new friends. I recommend it so far as you maintain an understanding of the rules and regulations. The public forums are fun and you can exchange coveted items with ease! That being said, it is extremely stingy and a drag to play without using real money to pay for currency in game. On top of that, the outlined rules do not fully encompass the actual restrictions that they maintain for players. If you create multiple profiles, do not risk transferring items to your main profile otherwise you face unreasonable penalties that ban/suspend your account even though it is not expressly stated in their terms. Also, contacting customer support is essentially useless as they offer no helpful information and refuse to even explain certain penalties in detail. Proceed with caution with this game and also just because you pay for things in game with real money, does not mean they care at all and will restrict your account even if you are paying for a time sensitive feature. Overall, this game is enjoyable but laced with extremely scummy actions to milk you for your money while supplying you with scraps for compensation (if you even get any at all). If this changes, I will adjust my review but for now as it stands, this is a honest review as it currently is.
