5/5Hands down the best weightlifting app
I am someone who does way too much research on everything. I looked into and tried tons of apps and this was by far and away the best one. There are some negative reviews about glitches, but the developer Valter is incredibly responsive and fixes any issues right away (so they should update those reviews). He truly cares about making the app better every day, and that is also evidenced in how often there are updates to the app. I got this after running the regular nSuns app after I got an Apple Watch, and they work flawlessly together. The best parts about this app are that it has a number of full programs already programmed in (for me having nSuns was the main draw); it is set up (and custom programs can be set up) by weekly programs with day 1-5 or whatever number of days and automatically brings you to the next day of the program; you can program based off of a % of training max; you can do AMRAPs and AMRAPs with minimums (eg 5+); it includes automatic progression if you hit certain thresholds each week; and it seamlessly integrates with the Apple Watch, Fitness/Health, Strava and more - among many other things. I have personally reached out the Strong and Hevy, and they don’t offer any of these other than some of the integration aspects. Strong isn’t making anymore updates so they will never have any of this. Hevy said they will think about it. Liftin’ has it all. Because of this, it actually makes me super excited to go to the gym. I used to be a pen and paper guy, and now I couldn’t go a day without Liftin’. If I had to have one single app, including texting and email, I would choose Liftin’. Don’t hesitate, and just get the lifetime membership if you’re committed to lifting for the long run!

5/5Simplicity is a good thing
I have to give credit where credit is due. The simple nature of this app is what makes me WANT to use it and therefore be more consistent with my lifting regimen. I have been a weightlifter on and off for 10 years. I don’t have aspirations to be a professional bodybuilder or competitor, I only lift for myself. Is this app my ideal app for lifting? No. There’s a few small features I wish I could have (emphasis on small; because I want to retain the simplicity of the app) however it’s the closest thing I’ve found and I’m really enjoying it. Even the option to switch the app icon from light to dark on your home screen is a nice touch! A lot of other “workout” apps don’t solely focus on lifting and even the ones that do, they all have too many features which most of us won’t even use. Those apps cater to people who’s lives revolve around the gym and are training for the Olympia, not to mentioned the constant intrusive ads that render using the app impossible. I also don’t like to or want to track literally every movement I do in the gym. I just need something simple to track the BIG exercises - Bench Press, Deadlift and Squats to begin with, with a few other major lifts. If you’re like me, then I highly recommend this app

5/5Streamline your tracking system👀
I have never reviewed an app before, but Liftin has truly changed the game for me! After trying multiple digital weightlifting tracking systems, and even creating a couple of my own, I was never really satisfied with the results—unintuitive, clunky, hard to tailor for unconventional routines, terribly designed, and with an overwhelming amount of features that were not really useful for me, I almost give up and go back to good old pen and paper! To my luck, I discovered this app a couple of months ago and I have to say without a doubt that this is the first only app so far that I can actually recommend for weightlifters that are looking to streamline their tracking with the flexibility of customizing almost every variable of an exercise. If you are looking for a simple but effective solution, look no further because Liftin’ has got you covered! Props to Valter for developing on his own such a valuable product🙌🏼

5/5Best workout tracking app
This is the best workout tracking app I’ve found, and I’ve tried most (if not all) of them over the past few years. - The UX is very nice and the watch app looks and feels great. - Connectivity between the watch and iPhone have also been super reliable the entire time I’ve been using the app! - Haven’t had a chance to try the automatic progression yet, but like that it’s available and so configurable. - The plate calculator is super useful (I’ve often needed a separate app for this with other apps I’ve used) and even works super well on the watch app as well!! - I really like that I can add any exercise/equipment/etc that’s not currently in the app so I can still do everything I need if I’m doing some kind of niche alteration of an exercise that hasn’t been added yet - LOVE that I can export my workout data. That’s been one of my biggest complaints with other apps cause when you can’t export your data, you have to reteach the app any time you use a new one, and you can’t chart out/analyze your strength growth any other way than the included reports. Really appreciate this feature as it ensures I have agency and ownership over my own workout data!!! - the dev is SUPER responsive and really helpful with any issues I have Thanks again for such an amazing and well thought out app! I’m excited to use it for a long time and appreciate how easy it is to work with!

5/5Stellar Design with Excellent Features
I care a lot about design and platform integration in my app selection. I’m a huge fan of indie apps and this app is a delight. I have been powerlifting for a couple years now and have tried just about every app available for it. I don’t need someone to make a program for me, I want a well designed app that lets me build my own workouts. Not only does Liftin do that, but it brings in so many quality of life features that make it a joy to use. As someone who follows principles of linear progression and progressive overload in his training methodology, this is the only app I’ve tried that automatically handles this aspect for me. It also allows custom linking in its automatic progression. My volume squat progresses independently of my intensity squat, even though it’s the same lift but used in different workouts. Then things like curls can progress sequentially together while being part of different workouts. Live Activity keeps me apprised of my rest timer while I’m browsing the web or reading. I can create custom lifts whenever needed and categorize them appropriately. The app remembers recent lifts for quick additions. Routines can have substitutions so you can keep the routine but swap in RDLs on the fly. The icing on the cake is how responsive the developer. I cannot recommend the app enough.
