1. 5/5New version needs tweaking to reduce steps

   I have used the Tecarta app every day for years and loved being able to switch between different study bibles in one tap. Recently I downloaded the new version and I am not happy that it takes multiple steps to do the same things I did before. Specially I am speaking about having to type hide Bible text every time. It should remember that I am hiding Bible text. Rather than forcing me to say hide Bible text each time I switch versions. For example , let’s day I have the NIV text in the left view and the life application notes on the right view. In the old app, I clicked the gear icon and the could switch to another study guide or commentary while I am studying such as the believers Bible commentary or ESV study Bible and it would switch the right side. Then I could switch back by just clicking the gear icon again and selecting the life application study again. Now I have to click to open a menu, then say replace view, select the content, and then click hide Bible text. This is a lot more steps. A big improvement to the new version would be to remember that I wanted to hide Bible text when I switch back and forth. Another thing is the old app switches both the text on the left side and the notes on the right in one step, for example switch from Niv study Bible to ESV study Bible, both text on the left and notes on the right changed together in the old app. The new version doesn’t do that and should because I am sure many people study with different translations and want to easily switch back and forth when studying a passage. Please consider these tweaks.

2. 4/5Love everything about this app except for one thing

   The app is very helpful in organizing my notes on sermons, Scriptures and personalized topics such as fear, obedience, faith etc and it offers many translations but there’s one thing about the app that they have changed that I don’t like. I love to send my verse notes to people who are in need of spiritual support. The app used to let me send my verse notes directly to people through text message or email and they could easily see and read my verse notes, but now when I send a verse note - the recipient can only receive my notes by first downloading the "life Bible app" then going back to my text and agreeing to import my verse note into their app. I had a friend contact me because she was confused about the process of receiving my verse note - she couldn’t see or read the verse note without going through this inconvenient process In my opinion this is an improper way to advertise the app. But when I share a Bible verse - the recipient can read the verse directly from the text message - and there’s an attachment where can get the app attached to the verse - this is how they should structure the app to send verse notes too. The app is wonderfully organized and easy to use - I tell everyone about it and I encourage them to get it - but this new system of sharing a verse note with a friend was and is a bad idea. Sharing God’s Word with those in need is very important to me

3. 5/5Excellent biblical resources and not pushy for sales!

   I’ve had the Tecarta Bible app for over seven years and it has been a consistent, convenient and accurate resource for Bibles study Bibles devotionals, commentaries and I believe concordances. Recently, Tecarta upgraded their app with a smooth transition and more features and along with those features were provided a tutorial. Some of the features that I enjoy are the automatic scroll, being able to scroll fast or slower, being able to listen to the Bible in different voices male-female or with theatrical music and sound effects in the background. In addition to that, Tecarta offers Bible reading plans. I don’t want to forget to mention several color highlighters plus setting options from voice speed to side-by-side translations. I can go on and on about this application. Finally I want to say that all Bible resources are offered at a free 7 day trial and Tecarta is never pushy or forces me into making purchases but I have made a few purchases because I was able to do it on my terms and at my convenience. I enjoy the new resources and I would have never known about some of them or even brought them were it not for the trial periods. I give five stars and rave reviews for this app! I see myself using this app for many more years to come!

4. 4/5NOT the version I raved to others about.

   I bought this Bible app several years ago after trying some others. The Tecarta app was the hands-down winner. But that was then.... A few days ago, I noticed my app icon was different - I hadn't updated it, but I found a whole new, visually pleasing version had made a home on my phone. I played around, trying to find the features I have enjoyed for so long. Where it was user-friendly before, now I see that it takes a tutorial to learn all the twists and turns. Admittedly, I have not watched any instructive videos, and IF I can do that and gain the necessary skills that will make it worthwhile for all the time and effort the developers have put into this latest version, I will boost my rating accordingly. I have interacted with Victor (?) a time or two, and found a "listening ear@. Personally, I'm not sold yet, but I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt. I'll reserve my final judgement 'til a later time. UPDATE: It's now been a couple of weeks of me watching some videos and "wandering around" in the new graphics and features. I'm starting to like it and am upping my rating from 2 stars to 4. As pretty as it is, I'm not giving 5 stars because it's simplicity is what sold me on it originally. I understand that it's very difficult to get the right balance of features and the K.I.S.S. principle. Tecarta is still my only Bible app.

5. 5/5Benefits of the Life Bible App

   When I read the Bible, I often need to look to additional translations/amplifications of the text to gain a more complete and consise understanding. Confusion/misinterpretation is not what the Lord desires for his followers. This app affords me numerous translations instantly, helping me embrace said text and take it to heart. Having lived in Europe for a few years and experiencing multiple languages, realizing firsthand that each language has grammatical and phrasing nuances, that opened my heart & mind to seek His truth through investigation, appreciating that one translation is rarely exactly the same as the original text. When all else fails, I pull up the Matthew Henry Commentary on the app. It’s brilliant, resplendent with deep historical relevance, explanations, and insights that amaze me. Understanding scripture fills my heart, and helps me be a better Sunday School teacher. As a child, I thought questioning Scripture was a sign of weakness, of unbelief, of darkness in my soul. That was a lie. The Lord used that frustration to “flip my script”, leading me to continue to teach 5th grade Sunday School, encouraging students to ask as many questions as they need to establish a solid understanding of God’s word. The best time of my week is digging into God’s word with 5th grade students.
