4/5Big help for quick translations while workin on iPad
I use LEO's website on the computer, and this app, whenever I work with translations on an iPad. I like the quick and profound results when searching for translations in english, spanish and/or german. I do not like, that the app looses it's focus on the line, where you enter the text (the web page keeps the focus in a really good way, so you can just start typing when you return to the webpage again and again). Is it not possible to implement that here with the app, too? Right now, after changing to the app first you have to tap into the entry field. That surely can be made better. Thank you!

5/5Great App! Room for improvement.
Leo’s website is an amazing tool for German learners. It has an excellent dictionary and a super helpful Trainer tool that lets you efficiently record and classify each word you look up, and then practice these words with different exercise methods. The app is also great! But it doesn’t have all the exercise methods of the Trainer that the website has. Please improve the app to make it even more helpful! Right now the app’s Trainer has only the flashcard and drag-and-drop features. It would be an app that I would recommend to everyone if it had all the other Trainer features that the website has.

5/5Go-to App For German Language
I‘m studying in a University in Germany and part of that includes learning advanced German. The best thing about LEO is that it gives you many possible meanings of words, not just the most common usage. For the quality of the content, they certainly deserve to be supported by the small annual subscription amount which you can decide whether to pay or not. They don’t cripple the app if you don’t subscribe like many other language apps. While it’s true you can use their website on a smartphone, the app interface is much easier to navigate.

5/5This is really helpful
I’m in German at my high school and my teacher always tells us to use Leo if we don’t know a word, because 9 times out of 10 Leo is right about a words meaning, than our book. Overall I love both the app and a website, the only thing is is that the website puts a lot more emphasis on the best meaning by sort of putting off to the side in a big box. But in the app the best meaning is less clear, other than it is at the top of the page. Overall I think the devs in Munich did a great job

2/5Fallen out of love with Leo
This used to be a go-to website and app for me, but I’ve grown weary of the opportunistic subscription corner it backs you into with a relentless pop-up threat of ads and tracking. Every single time I open the app, and within use a single of it, I am hit with what feel like little shameful penalties for not allowing a developer to capitalize on what used to be free and certainly has not been improved since it was free. I’ve since learned to use other resources that function just as well that are still free of cost and visual noise, and I no longer recommend Leo as readily to my students and other language learners. I see many others share my sentiments. It’s a shame.
