I’ve been using this app for a few years and love it. My family is Swedish/Finnish, so I’m working on my Finnish. I’d normally rate this a 5 star, but recently it’s been having issues when taking tests or playing someone. During test taking if I answer one wrong it closes and says I’ve got an “F” sometimes I’ve been only a few answers away from finishing and I’ll get one wrong and boom it’s closed and “F”. One question wrong is not an “F” not even a “D” or “C”.Playing someone sometimes will just shut down or I’ll get 100% vs other person at 85% and it says I lose. There must be some type of glitch going on lately. Please try to fix this.

5/5Very good app!
I was skeptical but it’s fun and I feel like I’m learning pretty quickly! My husband and I are doing it together. We sit and do the lessons for a while instead of watching tv. It’s a good change of pace. Easy to navigate. Good content too. I like it for learning basics easily. I also like how many languages are offered! I was impressed with the selection. The app has audio that pronounces words which I was hoping for. It doesn’t mention this in the app description, that I noticed. I’m doing the free trial now but I plan to purchase this with out a doubt.

4/5Great, but can be better
This app is great for learning vocabulary with many categories, maybe too many. A lot of unnecessary and some even useless:/ Learning sequence works well and helps in retaining information, but the tests are too spelling focused rather than word recognition which creates frustration because it is time consuming and it takes away from the 5 minute test allotment causing you to run out of time to finish the test. I do like how words are recycled throughout the lessons because it helps refresh and better memorize the vocabulary. There are no tutorials to guide you on how to use the app or how levels work— I’m currently in level 34 - Novice. I have no idea how or when you move up. There are glitches with the program that need to be fixed, such as having to revisit a prior category because it either shows 0% or as incomplete when in actuality it had previously been done. Another annoying glitch is when the same word is used for a different object or meaning and then you get marked wrong if you choose the wrong picture or word. For example: pen and pencil are both labeled olovka(Croatian) pictures of both appear, which are you suppose to pick? The program is set for one right answer, if you don’t pick the program choice you are marked wrong even though your answer is correct. I’ve come across quite a few like this. Overall I think it is a good program it just needs some tweaking. I’ve learned a lot, but at times irritated with the above mentioned issues/glitches. The program has room formimprovement.

I am using Lingo to learn Hindi. I am a novice when it comes to the language. I’ve started my journey by using the flashcards to learn simple words (e.g., fruit). While I have an extreme way to go before I can speak Hindi fluently, I have been able to use the learned words in everyday conversations with my in-laws who enjoy speaking Hindi more than English. They have been surprised by what I’ve learned in such a short period of time as well as how I am correctly pronouncing said words. It’s exciting and I’m happy with my progress. Lingo is helping build my confidence in understanding my family and feel more respectful to learn a language that makes them feel comfortable. It will also help me to set an example for my children and help them learn the language because I am able to teach them simple words and, hopefully, phrases as I continue using Lingo.

I have been using this language learning app for a few weeks now and I am extremely impressed with its features and effectiveness. The app offers a wide range of languages to choose from and provides interactive lessons that are engaging and easy to follow. The audio exercises and quizzes have been particularly helpful in improving my pronunciation and vocabulary. I also appreciate the progress tracking feature that allows me to see how far I've come. Overall, I highly recommend this app to anyone looking to learn a new language efficiently and enjoyably.

While I have an extreme way to go before I can speak Hindi fluently, I have been able to use the learned words in everyday conversations with my in-laws who enjoy speaking Hindi more than English. They have been surprised by what I’ve learned in such a short period of time as well as how I am correctly pronouncing said words. It’s exciting and I’m happy with my progress. Lingo is helping build my confidence in understanding my family and feel more respectful to learn a language that makes them feel comfortable. It will also help me to set an example for my children and help them learn the language because I am able to teach them simple words and, hopefully, phrases as I continue using Lingo.",
