What's new in this version: Inviting is now effortless: share your invitation link or simply show your QR code. Anyone who signs up through it lands directly in a chat with you. No searching required. Dark mode is back! Soft dark tones instead of harsh black. Switch it on under Settings → Appearance. Groups: you can now promote other members to admins (in the members menu, just like you know it from WhatsApp). Also: a "show password" eye on all password fields, sign-up fields no longer hidden behind the keyboard, a cleaner user search without technical handles, crew lounge welcome in your language; plus various stability improvements (including swiping, photo selection and names in the chat list).

Calmer notifications: A subtle cabin chime is the new default, with two more sounds to choose from. A tidier chat list: Hide chats instead of deleting them, fully reversible. The trash is now clearly separate. A short introduction for new crew members on first launch. New destination: Chicago. Bangkok has been greatly expanded, along with new categories for vegetarian food, drivers, guides and charities. Plus many refinements and bug fixes.

Photos and videos where you'd look for them: Images and videos you save from chats now go straight to your photo library — no more digging through files. Notifications without the cold open: Instead of hitting you with a system prompt the moment you first open the app, Layova now explains what it's for inside the chat. One tap turns it on, if you want it. Type without tripping: The keyboard no longer covers what you're writing. The send button stays within reach, and half-written messages survive a quick detour somewhere else. No chats nobody asked for: A one-to-one chat only shows up on the other side once you've actually written something. A stray tap leaves no trace. You decide which groups you're in: Group invitations now need your confirmation — nobody drops you into a room unasked. Ready faster: After you send your crew details, you're in within seconds instead of waiting around. Welcome card once, not forever: It greets you on your first visit and stays available in the chat details afterwards. Plus many smaller improvements and bug fixes.

Only remember the first name? That will do. Looking for someone from your crew but only the first name comes to mind. Type it in, the search takes it from there. No last name needed. Starting a one to one chat used to be hidden away. Now it sits right where you look for it. Deleting a message takes a single confirmation from now on. No explaining yourself.
