5/5Is Karl Still Supported?
This has been such a helpful app for navigating what to wear when adventuring out from one SF microclimate to another. (Richmond neighborhood folks spending the day the Mission, am I right?) In the past week it looks like it’s been stuck in night mode, with temps 10 degrees lower than other weather apps. And now, the temps are gone. Adios, Karl! Missing you already.

5/5Conditions seem broken?
I love this app! The weather numbers just got fixed but the conditions seem to be broken? Sun and moon work but places that I think are cloudy (?) get messed up and aren’t changing. Please fix!

3/5Good with a few bugs
Going around SF, this is a pretty helpful app because of all the micro-climates. It tells temperature and weather (cloudy, rainy, etc) of the districts in SF and around the Bay Area. The app crashes occasionally on my iPhone 6, especially when I use the slider to change the time. Also, there are competitor apps that give smoother graphics and look cleaner. But for compact information, this one is the best I’ve found so far.

1/5Limited usefulness now, unfortunately
This is a very slick-looking app and a great idea for the bay area’s microclimates, but it’s unfortunately no longer useful for many parts of SF. I guess the app recently lost access to the Weather Underground data, and the new data set constantly lowballs temps in places like SoMa, where I live. Right now, for instance, Karl says it’s 61 in my neighborhood, but my outdoor thermometer in the shade says it’s 81, which is definitely what it feels like outside and also what the Weather Underground station says. Sorry, Karl :( Great idea but useless for me now.

5/5Super useful weather app in SF
I work in SF and it’s not always easy to predict what weather will be like in different parts of the city. With This app, I can prepare when I move around throughout the day. Specially neighborhood details are super helpful deciding whether I should bring a jacket or not. 🤔
