4/5Great tool, but should re-evaluate pricing
I LOVE this tool! I tried out several alternatives but none had nearly as nice of a layout or were error prone. This application is simple, aesthetically pleasing, and, most importantly, functional. My only complaint would be the payment options. I don’t mind paying for the usage of the app because it provides so many benefits but I don’t think I should be forced to pay monthly or yearly installments for some of the premium features. It would be nice if the developer could introduce a small lump amount to purchase a professional license with fewer benefits than premium. The main ability I want is to be able to manage separate task boards. I don’t need the other premium features so it is annoying to pay a monthly fee for things I don’t need.

3/5I have found this useful
I first acquired this Kanbana app when it was Get and no in-app purchase needed. Then it became Kanbana with Pro as an option. I really found it useful in that the interface was not distracting, I could create a new card, re-organize stack sequence, and change card colors very quickly. I liked that I could enter an idea, and not have to wade through any layers of organization. Functionally, I could choose a color for my cards, and make the stacks arrangement what ever was convenient as I completed projects or priorities changed. After a while, color choices for new cards became limited, but the cards I had in those colors were not affected. The number of cards I could create was limited to 20. I have more than 20 cards because I adopted this Kanbana app when that limitation was not in effect When I was no longer able to add new cards, as I completed a card, I changed the original content to “Placeholder” and did not delete the card. I recycled the placeholder card by adding new content. The recent entire make-over of the interface has rendered the user interface very slow. I can’t rearrange stacks now. In attempting to rearrange cards in a stack, There is a delay of three to five seconds before the board responds to a gesture. Maybe a new iPad Pro would allow Kanbana Pro to work very quickly. For now, I am taking the precaution of manually migrating one my board (free version only allows one board and 20 cards.) to a different application before my current installation of Kanbana become completely unusable.

5/5Project Engineer. Keeps me sane
I’m a project engineer who uses this app daily. It’s simple, sleek and works well. TBH maybe my favorite part of this app is that it DOESNT suffer from feature creep/bloat. I tried other popular kanban apps and that was one of the main reasons why I switched and stayed on Kanbana. Pros: -Sleek design. Easy on the eyes. Love the font and background. -Easy to use/start using. Very intuitive. -Easy to move tasks and columns around. Can move tasks to other Kanbans -Autosaves after editing tasks. (Although this is standard I think for most kanban apps.) -Different colors for tasks! While this is a simple addition, some of the other apps I tried didn’t have this, was difficult to change on the fly due to bloat, etc. -Multiple device sync with premium! -Multiple kanbans with premium Neutrals: -Rarely, there are graphical glitches during editing tasks. It always reverts to normal after you finish editing them. -Can’t change background. I like the background so nbd. Cons: -None to mention. Additional Features I’d like added -While simple is better and the reason I use this app, I would like more colors. (If GUI space is an issue, colors could scroll horizontal with a swipe when editing tasks.) -Maybe text formatting (tables, bullets etc.)? But then you begin to crowd up the interface... But yeah love the app! Fits my purpose perfectly

5/5Exquisitely simple, highest recommendation
I have using Kanbana free for about a month now to keep track of my personal busy life. After a life changing brain injury 12 years ago, I went from Software Project Manager to Volunteer in 3 different organizations, as well as publishing 6 books, and being a brain injury support group leader and advocate. I have to manage all this all around my own symptoms which limits my activity to a few hours per day. Obviously, before Kanbana, i blamed the natural state of chaos on my brain injury. HOW TO USE KANBANA MOST EFFECTIVELY (my way, obviously) 1. Limit your colors to: Not Started, In process, Need something, waiting Approvals, Complete. Always assign the same color for each stage. 2. The color Grey is RESERVED for sub level header 3. Create your to-do lists as normal 4, when you encounter a to-do that requires steps, color it GREY and give it a short title 4a. At far of screen, past last column, tap and hold until a new column (stage) appears. Title it the exactly same as above. 4b. Create the box, COLOR GREY, and name it “SUBLIST” 4c. List all your steps, using your correct color scheme 5. Yes, using this concept, you easily create a sub process within a process, and more branches I love it

5/5Useful and satisfying
I am a freelancer who wears a lot of hats and I was desperate for a simple way to see all of my tasks for all of my projects, as well as my everyday life tasks. I’d tried all sorts of methods, but all the digital means of task tracking I used were cluttered looking and made me feel distracted and overwhelmed. I love Kanbana! Color coding my to do list by project and prioritizing them by column is the perfect system for me. Pulling a task over to the completed column is so satisfying. Could I just make a spreadsheet that does the same thing? Yes, but it wouldn’t be as fun and the display wouldn’t be as nice. I run it on my iPad mini and haven’t had any problems with it in the month or so that I have been using it.

New Simplified Design Even though Kanbana was powerful and simple to use before, we thought through the app experience from beginning to end. We have made the design even more intuitive and simple to use, including a new tutorial for new users. Horizontal (Kanban) and Vertical Views We wanted to make the mobile experience even easier to use, particularly moving cards between lists. Therefore, we have introduced horizontal (Kanban) and vertical views in the mobile app. This feature allows users to easily switch the view of their boards from the classic horizontal Kanban view (with a column format) to a new vertical view where everything can be seen on one screen by opening and collapsing lists and scrolling down the phone. Create Boards from Templates To make task management even more intuitive, users can now create boards from templates. This feature allows users to quickly set up new boards and gives them some ideas into how boards can be arranged for work, home, shopping, school. etc. This will save time and effort and add a creative and fun vibe to task management. Users can create new boards from these templates and still fully customize them to suit their needs and personality. Selectable Dark Mode It is well understood that many users prefer a darker theme for their apps. Our iOS app previously had Dark Mode, but it was tied to the user’s setting on their device. Now, users can select in the app whether to present the app in dark or light mode, regardless of their phone’s dark mode setting. Bold and Muted Colors In response to user feedback, we have introduced a feature in the new Profile section for users to select to have their cards displayed using Bold or Muted Colors. This provides a more customizable look and feel for the app. We had already introduced this in our web app last year, and based on positive user response and consistency, have included it in the newest release of our mobile apps. New Approach to Kanban The new app launch has also reimagined the traditional Kanban approach. We wanted to merge the best of what Kanban and To-Do lists have to offer. In this new version, users can simply click on cards to indicate they are complete. This eliminates the need for a ‘Done’ or ‘Completed’ column (which is the case in classic Kanban boards), although users can still opt to use one if they prefer.
