"body": "One of the best parts of Kagi is the ability to customize lenses and rank or exclude specific sources. Why can’t I do this in Kite News? I want to be able to build my own categories and my own sources. I want to downrank and uprank my own sources. I really like the app UI and the idea is sound, but this is just another news app that doesn’t respect the user interests and expects everyone to be the same.",

"body": "Neat idea in theory, but most of the AI summaries of events are pretty bland and bad, and the cited sources don’t always make sense with the claim from the summary. That’s a pretty big red flag for a news app. I don’t want to see a half baked conclusion reached by an LLM, I just want to know the objective facts surrounding an event.",

Kagi News is excellent because it gives multiple perspectives on the news once a day. We don’t need to constantly be updated. It allows me to be informed but also be present in my daily life without a constant barrage of alerts that pull me away from what really matters.",

"body": "I really like the clean interface of the app as well as the fact that it updates only once a day. The app also allows you to select the categories you want to follow and ignore the rest. The app is great if you just want to be updated about the most important stories of the day. If you are a heavy news reader or prefer more detailed stories that do not always appear on front pages of newspapers, this is not the app for that.",
