1. 5/5One of my FAVORITE Tape Delays hands down!

   I happen to see this on AppRaven (I have had this app for years) and it’s one of the BEST out there! Don’t get me wrong there are other AMAZING DEEP and VERY good sounding “Tape Delays” but this has the LOOK and FEEL one needs who grew up using 24 tape tricks to get Delays, Flange, Phase etc before all the rack mount gear and pedals and now PLUGINS! I always ask myself, if I had ALL THIS technology back when I was first learning the trade off engineering, how freaking far advanced would I be? Bc let’s face it, bf plugins, effects were big $$$ and no young musician has money! I see all the FREE lessons, all the free guitar scale and chord programs and apps… and I think MY GOD how good would I be? Then I realize, it would be the same as now, bc YES there is so many ways to learn for free… there is also so many KILLER games to play, killer things to check out, so many amazing content videos… that I being ADHD would not have as much knowledge as I have doing it “old school”

2. 1/5Extreme lag and often audio delay issues and glitches

   Nearly a year ago, I wrote a review for this app and I at least tried to be fair with the devs. It seems that doesn't work in this world, because I tried to get help with this app crashing and nothing works. I use an iPhone 12 mini, and every time I go over 10-15 instruments with the effect, the project completely crashes and either doesn’t open, I have to back it up to EVEN edit the tracks constantly, or it LITERALLY deletes hours to even days of progress depending on the crash. I tried to reach out through email. Got 1 response and was ditched. This was in December of 2024. It's 10 months later, and it’s even worse than it was nearly a year ago. For a paid app, it gets little to no updates and it's really starting to show considering I can’t even use it properly 50% of the time anymore. Either this app was just made for higher-end devices like MacBooks, or it is so outdated that only newer iPhone models can even keep up with this nonsense. Mind you, I tried reaching out through email to get help and got nothing. This is simply ridiculous. The number of times this plugin has erased hours of my progress is almost insane, and just so you know, it really is a good plugin, and I’d love to keep using it, but the amount of whatever space is used that causes all these crashes to happen needs to be fixed.

3. 5/5High quality effects

   This is the tape delay you are looking for. I have the other tape delay apps which have different options than this, but I can’t make any of them sound like this. If you want tape delay - this is the sound you want. Wow & flutter effects are better than any other tape effect app. Doesn’t destroy source audio but warps the delay taps in the way I assumed the other apps would but never quite did. Whatever options the other apps have that are not found here, they tend to make the audio sound muddled, not mangled. I preordered this on the strength of the free DLYM effect this dev offers. If you appreciate the difference in audio quality DLYM has over similar apps then you’ve probably been anticipating any new effects Imaginado had to offer as I have been.

4. 5/5Fantastic Delay

   Just the right amount of features and options; not burdened by needless complexity and endless creative choices: in other words, a well thought-out, sleek, and intelligent UI. Nothing to get in between you and your creative flow. Beautiful. Sound is rich and pairs well with anything, spoken word, synths, guitar, television news broadcasts, nature recordings, drive-through restaurant loud-speaker —yeah, anything. Using different LFO shapes, you can get it to sound like a school projector eating an educational-cartoon film-strip. Plus, the developers behind this fantastic buy are top-tier here iOS/iPadOS-land. I strongly advise you put down your pet turtle —very slow, very gentle, that’s right… no sudden movement… —and give the K7D a try, now!

5. 5/5Nice delay audio unit.

   This is actually the first delay audio unit I have purchased, and I am glad I did. There is quite a bit of control to make anything from basic tempo synced delays to crazy sounding effects. It comes with a fair amount of presets some of which can be quite useful right away. Unfortunately with a few of the presets, there were some pops and clicks so to speak, on this iPad Air 2. Other than that, works great and sounds great. It can easily turn a simple sampled instrument into something beautiful and big sounding.
