   I was hesitant to try the app, but once I did, I liked it. The pros are you get 6 daily ads and checkin bonus to use daily. That’s a big help to see the stories. The first story gave unlocked vids throughout the story and that was great. Also, if you are buying coins, first timers get a discount which is nice. At first I got to see an additional 20 ads, within a story to use, but after a week, it went to 10. The cons are the reduction of ads options, within a story, reducing from 20 to 10 after the first week. Also, it doesn’t allow you to pick the vid within the story. It makes you go in sequence. I would like to be able to skip a vid within a story if I want to.

2. 1/5One star is too much

   I signed up to finish watching one story and then you get into this crazy thing of not even able to get back to the story. Before you know it, you’re getting all these charges you don’t even know what it’s about . I then went to cancel, which I have been trying for a month and a half to cancel and they don’t finish the chat has me wait and wait because they’re going connect me to somebody to be able to cancel and I’ve gone in there to hit cancel. It doesn’t allow me to do anything to help me not be charged anymore. Doesn’t allow me to cancel. Doesn’t allow anybody to come in and actually ask me any questions after they pass you onto somebody . And if the company is reading it, please stop charging my account. I already talked to my American Express because I’m supposed to have one charge. I get a charge every week for 1999. I want them all credited back to my account because I have not asked for anything else there was only one story I wanted to finish watching and all of a sudden I can’t get out of it. Don’t whatever you do don’t sign up for these reels.

3. 1/5Warning do not subscribe using Pay Pal Pay

   Do not subscribe to this app using the paypal pay option. They offered a discount to do this and I figured worth it for just one week. Then I realized my mistake because there is no way to cancel the charge. I contacted someone through the apps customer service fiction to attempt to cancel the same day knowing there was only a week of time before the next charge. They said they needed to escalate and that was on February 20th. I continue to reach out each week to check in before I get charged they continue to tell me it’s been escalated and that they can’t do anything because it’s a payment dispute. I even tried to do something through pay pal directly but the email for contact they provided bounced back and pay pal will not let me dispute the charges for up to a year so I’m basically just putting money in for nothing and while I guess I could use my subscription I watched all the shorts in the first week and I don’t want to watch anymore I just want me money back. In short the pay pal pay function is a scam don’t be like me and get locked in.

4. 1/5It’s a SCAM

   I cannot give it ZERO stars, hence giving ONE! I purchased coins for 9.99$, which supposed to be about 3000 including bonus! I watched ONE episode (worth 116 coins), AFTER buying the coins and after that episode my balance dropped to ZERO……. NOTHING remained! I have been writing repeatedly to the ONLINE CUSTOMER SUPPORT, & I am told it will be escalated to Technical department and I will hear in 2 days! 6days have already passed (2+2+2days!) I just wrote there again and I am sure they will tell me to wait 2 more days! These guys must be good at scamming. Just collect 10$ per person, let them watch one episode & get away with it! The SAME has happened to me on another such App that ‘supposedly’ deals via COINS; & they did the same and told me I had used all 10$ in 2 episodes that probably lasted less than 5min! So, this is just a warning for everyone to AVOID IT if possible! If they reimburse my money/coins, then I can consider changing or UPDATING this review, but until that happens; it is a SCAM for me! You have been WARNED!

5. 1/5Expensive, Misleading, and Not Worth the Subscription

   This app is outrageously expensive and its payment system feels completely deceptive. I purchased a subscription, but after watching only a few episodes, I was told that I did not have enough coins to continue. Then, even after purchasing more coins, they were never enough, and the app kept pushing me to spend more and more money just to finish the same story. What is the point of paying for a subscription if you still have to keep paying to watch the content? A subscription should give users meaningful access, not serve as an entry fee before demanding endless additional payments. This feels like a complete rip-off and an abusive business model. Other high-quality apps do not use these kinds of misleading tactics. I am extremely disappointed and angry. I would give JoyReels zero stars if Apple allowed it, but since I have to choose at least one, I am giving it one star.
