5/5Hiten A Dalal
Thx for all great updates throughout the years. Please consider providing an add on for a reasonable fee for pakhavaj or even a separate app. In Haveli Sangeet we use pakhavaj a lot. Or provide variation of Pakhavaj bol for applicable taal. I am Fan and student of music. This program is great and I appreciate that we keep getting new raga additions and updates. For the price it is incredible deal. You get two tanpura that can be tuned to your liking. Manjiraa will follow tabla tala selected. Almost all tabla tala that I know. Of course, this is for accompaniment so does not have all kaayada. You get swar mandal. Surpeti to adjust your pitch. Incredible ensemble of great features. I would like to request that they provide additional raag based on user request for a reasonable fee of around $5 as a raag release or tal release. Great work!!!

5/5I bought an iPad in order to run this app
Couple of years later I was grateful to find out I automatically could get the iPhone version. It's still by far my favorite app. I wish developers would do similar things for other styles if music. I'm not a Indian classical player, but I mess around with Kirtan. (Suggestion: set up your favorites so your 6, 8 and 16 beat tals are all easily available without having to scroll through all the other options. Yeah, someday I hope to play in 13 and a half, but until then...) I love the interface but what really makes it are the quality of the sounds. In fact I wish the tabla was available for playback through a sampler. I asked and got an immediate and polite no for an answer. Hmmmmmm, perhaps I should take off one star...

5/5Excellent, some feature requests
I just want to thank the developer for creating such a gem of an app for the followers of eastern classical genre. I have been a long user of this app and very satisfied with the sound and variations. Recently in iOS/ iPad OS music making community people who want to buy this app are really concerned about whether there will be features like Ableton link/ Host Tempo Sync in another Daw and mainly Auv3 support for the app in the future. I know it is not necessary for practice and performance, but if Auv3 is supported, we can use it for music making purpose as well. This is my curiosity and a desperate feature request as well. I hope we get the clear picture from the developer.

5/5Keharwa Taals lacking in variations
I love this app; been using for years and years. Recently noticed quite a few awesome additions to Dadra. But disappointed that Keharwa Taal is still the same old beats. Need a major overhaul with many additional for different Laggi variations, Bandh Keharwa etc. Light film music and Sangeet, ghazals,Bhajan, geet. Majority of taals are too exotic for these needs and way up there. Please bring it down to our level for singing accompaniment. Majority of songs below classical or semi classical are Kehrwa, Dadra and way down Rupak, Jhaptal. At least give us more for these especially by far Keharwa. I don’t understand why Dadra has been considerably enhanced but not Keharwa.

5/5The Best App for Indian Music and Much More
I have been using iTabla for quite a number of years now and use it almost daily. For many years I was a student of North Indian classical music, and for many years since, I have been a jazz musician, retaining many of the ideas and concepts of Indian music. So in addition to practicing ragas and talas, I also use it for less traditional purposes, such as non-traditional tanpura tunings, and for general practice in odd meters. Also, every musician can benefit from practicing regularly with a drone, as it can greatly improve your subtle sense of pitch. The app is also extremely well designed, and I would recommend it not just for students of Indian music (for whom it is really essential), but for any musician who wants to practice modal music with configurable drone accompaniment, or wants to practice in a wide variety of metric patterns. It also can provide a very useful background for all sorts of vocal exercises. Unless you have a couple of decent Indian musicians who can accompany you whenever you want, you should have this app, and probably even then.
