5/5The absolute best!
It is such a luxury to be able to use this app on a tablet and benefit from the humongous screen, compared to the relatively small screens on most tuners, even strobe tuners. I used to own a Conn strobe tuner. That was an old analog beast, and it made lots of mechanical noise all by itself. This is even more accurate and totally silent. If you set intonation on your instruments yourself you absolutely need a strobe tuner, and this is a very elegant option because of the ability to use a tablet size screen. There is a learning curve when using strobe tuners because they are so sensitive. It is essential that you study up on this before you dig in or you will wonder why the notes don’t stabilize. It’s actually because the notes do not stabilize on your instrument. They are moving constantly as harmonics jump out and die away, so you need to know how to use the tuner and what indicates a note is in tune. Most other types of tuners filter out those jittery fluctuations, which seem to make tuning fast and easy, but actually give you a much less accurate assessment of what the string is doing. Because strobe tuners are so superior, they show you everything that is going on and you have to know how to read it. Is extremely simple once you get the hang of it and well worth the effort for an instrument that plays in tune all over the neck. ***BEST RESULTS I RECOMMEND USING THIS WITH AN AUDIO INTERFACE FOR PLUGGING IN YOUR INSTRUMENT IF IT HAS A PICK UP. YOU WILL BE REWARDED WITH SMOOTHNESS AND ACCURACY. I AM USING A FOCUSRITE WHICH IS BUS POWERED FROM MY TABLET AND IT IS A FABULOUS EXPERIENCE***

5/5Peterson #1
Anyone that doesn’t have a Peterson Tuner needs to look in a mirror and ask themselves what they are doing with their lives. This app does a lot and can be intimidating but the Sweetners are worth it and it takes time to understand it all. If you have questions contact Petersons Customer Service they are always willing to help and is one of the reasons why they have been in business for over 70 years. The only thing I wish they would add to the app is the ability to link my iPhone or iPad to my StroboPlus HDC with this app. My laptop died and have no way of changing out the tunings I currently have loaded on it.

2/5Good as a phone app bad for my use cases
I purchased this app based off of good reviews here and on Reddit. From the day I purchased it I’ve been disappointed by the issues I’ve had. On my M4 IPad Pro it almost always displays the hz multiple octaves up (frequently double.) Also I cannot get my interface for my guitar to work with this app. It’s recording and sending input to the iPad but nothing is coming through to the app. I’m not sure if this is even meant to be supported but I resorted to trying it considering I could never get it to work normally. On my iPhone 15 Pro the app works almost seamlessly if I put my phone extremely close to the guitar. Any further away and it can’t hear it even on boost mode with the noise filter on. I tried turning them off and no input. It jumps octaves much less on the phone but it still does it frequently enough to be annoying. Some of this could be user error but I didn’t change any settings after downloading the app. In general the app works well enough and I’m sure the good reviews reflect good experiences. I just didn’t have a great experience myself.

4/5Luthier’s Review
I have been a luthier for 30 years and have been using my Stroboconn for that long. I wanted something equivalent and portable. I wrote my first spectrum analyzer (FFT) for hardware I made in 1984 running on a Mac+. I have a lot of expectations when it comes to this software. With in app purchases I had to spend $30 to replace the mechanical strobe which seems expensive for an app. It does, however, function very well. Make sure to calibrate it. I also spent an extra $10 for having the spectrum features replacing my Mac+. (Well worth it.) I would really like a power meter feature. Beyond tuning I often need to measure string to string balance in piezo pickups. The other feature I would love to have is a waterfall display of the spectrum. It would be an easy add.

5/5BEST TUNER, Just GET IT!
Finnally a tuner that does not flash and jump around and leave you gussing. So easy to slow down the strobe. Makes so much sense to pluck a string and let it resonate while the string is tuned. Very sensitive using my iPad Pro. Having cents show is a great feedback that further increases confidence. I've found the string's tuning jumps a few cents after letting go of the tuner. Easy to get use to and anticipate so you end up with tuining within fractions of cents. Also, never made sense to bang away at the string to keep the volume loud enough for my old clip on, or in line tuners. Not using a pick was a piece of information that didn't jump out at me. My local luther had made a comment that my guitar was tuned sharp. I had tuned my brand new guitar with a pick before heading to the luther.

Fix calibration not working

2.3
• Some users have reported picking up mains hum (the tuner displays a constant pitch - which can be different according to location and environment) - this is a (unintended - sorry!) consequence of extending the range and sensitivity of the tuner. Rather than undoing the changes above which give far greater tracking and accuracy we have added a dedicated mains hum filter in Tuner/Advanced settings. This setting will be on by default - if however, you still experience problems we recommend switching this option off and enabling the normal noise filter prior to tuning. • By request we have reinstated a method to edit Concert A and Transpose from the Main page - do a "long press" on the [TRANS] or [CONCERT A] buttons to edit. • Added "Personalize/Show Fullscreen Button Icon". For those who thought the arrow icon over the strobe was ugly. You can now switch it off - the button will still work! • Many other minor bug fixes and general improvements.
