1. 5/5Kinnporsche.

   They posted a 1yr anniversary photo forKinnPorsche and did not put one of the actors into the photo. (Build jakaphan puttha) even though he is apart of the series and should not be discredited for his hard work, KinnPorsche is a great series and had a lot of work and hard acting put into it with many emotions that could cause harm to the actor of the character if they go to far into the character. Build has done so much for beoncloud (the company kinnporsche is under) and Kinnporsche. They have no right to be taking him out of the photo when he is an actor in kinnporsche that had a big impact on the series, he was honestly one of the reason I kept watching because I loved the storyline of his character. (Also love the actor). I’m pretty sure they did this because of the stuff that has been going on with build and poi, but he was proved innocent which gives them no right to do that. Also the vip is TO EXPENSIVE. Viki has some of the same shows on their app for a cheaper price or for free. It is not hard to consider others before yourself, not everyone is made of money. If you want your app to keep success and keep going onward you should consider lowering the price. The subtitles on the tv are also very small and hard to read and sometimes look transparent, which is very annoying and inconsiderate to people with bad seeing. So anyways concluding all of that , I rate this app 1 star.

2. 4/5Love this app so please keep improving it

   I love the choices here because It’s so hard to find good clean shows these days. I also have Viki and feel like I’m not seeing too many repeats, so that’s good. The selection isn’t as big as Viki, but still very nice. It shows mainly Chinese shows. They show a little bit of other, but if you’re looking for lots of K-drama this is not it. I like it all, so works for me. I like the app overall but it still needs some improvement. I’m a VIP customer (you kind of have to be to watch all episodes), and it would be nice if they would fix a few things. The font size of the subtitles most of the time are too small. You also have to be a speed reader. I’ve noticed most shows play subtitles way too fast, and I’m a fast reader. I also don’t like that it automatically plays when I click on a show just to read what it’s about. It then tosses it into shows I watched when I really didn’t. I like the small clips for episodes, but having trailers for each show too would be nice. My biggest complaint though (I don’t know where else to mention it so I’ll say it here), is several shows do not translate written words. I couldn’t even watch one show because it showed so many texts and computer screens with absolutely no translation to the point it affected me being able to know what was going on. So please make sure all shows have subtitles for the written words too. I really like the shows though, and as long as the price stays reasonable I will continue to subscribe.

3. 2/5Obnoxious ads and bad subtitles

   I started using the app because I like the series they carry. But even as a VIP member, the iPhone app bombards you with ads. Every time you pause, an ad pops up right where the pause/unpause button is. The subtitles are often too fast too read, so I have to pause them to read and then unpause to continue. Each time I do that, I have to click out of some useless ad. Sometimes I end accidentally opening the ad, so I pulls up a browser window. I have to close out of that, open iQIYI back up, wait for the ad for opening the app finishes, and finally get back to show. Then do the whole thing 30 seconds later because I have to pause to read the subtitles again. And just to reiterate, I PAY A MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION FOR THIS APP. It’s actually the most expensive streaming app for Asian dramas that I know of. And yet, I’m constantly having to dodge ads. Another issue is the subtitles, although that’s more of a content issue that the actual app itself. In addition to the subtitles being so quick that you can’t even read them, the translations are often terrible (for English subtitles). There’s no way that a native English speaker wrote translated them. Again, this subscription is one of the most expensive that I know of, and yet their subtitles are like a 3rd-year EFL student translated them. If this were a free or cheap subscription, this all would be understandable. But it’s not. I can’t help feeling like we’re being ripped off. I might be at the point of canceling my subscription, despite how many series on here I still want to watch.

   The first time I downloaded the Gold member app through my iPad, it was great! One day I did not have my IPad with me and was desperate to watch the new episodes of The Awakening on my iPhone, I downloaded the app on my iPhone but the app didn’t recognize my email info or that I was a VIP member. I thought maybe because I was only a Gold member so upgraded and paid through my iPhone to be a Diamond VIP member and I was able to watch with no problems. When I got my iPad back the next day, I attempted to watch VIP episodes on my iPad but for some reason it did not recognize that I was a VIP member any longer or my email! Stupid me, I went through signing up again on my IPad and paid again to be a Diamond VIP member. I attempted four times before I just watched it on my iPhone again. I got charged all four times. I tried different ways trying to log in and all times it made me select which member I wanted it (it gives you four choices) error message had said that my payment had failed, which is why I kept trying. I finally looked in my debit charges and saw that in fact all times has been charged! My iPhone still has the VIP membership up until next month but my IPad does not, out of frustration and feeling cheated - I cancelled both. Maybe I’m overthinking things but all of a sudden I had two “likes” on my instagram page from asian females that I don’t know and is Taiwanese. I only say they are Taiwanese because their names are in Chinese characters and photo description says Taiwan. Just be aware.

5. 4/5No option to change Font for Apple TV or Rewind/Fast Forward

   Update: May 8, 2024 PLEASE CHANGE THE FONT. We need to be able have the font at least outlined. It disappears in a white background, which happens a lot when actors are wearing white clothes or white walls. Please I’m begging you give us a change in font!! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - IQIYI would be a perfect app on Apple TV if it could do two things. Allow the viewer to change the font size, and put a background behind it (or allow our Apple TV to override IQIYI’s app font which is huge white font that disappears if there is a white background in the scene I’m watching). The second on my list is for Apple TV to fast forward (10sec) or rewind (10 sec) option of the show I’m watching. I have to drag my finger across my remote and it’s sometimes a hit or miss with the rewind. Other than the issues listed above I love IQIYI and it’s enormous library of Chinese movies, dramas, etc. I have contacted IQIYI several times asking for at least the font issue to be addressed but they continue to send me messages saying they can’t do it. I wonder why it’s so hard to change it? Is it really beyond what they’re capable of doing?
