3/5Customer service has declined
They used to have live customer service which helped me greatly when I first started. Now all customer service is via the internet by sending messages and the responses strike me as scripted. For more than a month I have tried to add on the capacity to prescribe controlled substances and have not received the mailer. After 2 failed mailings, I was told to just order another one. Really? There was mo acknowledgment of the need inconvenience to me or alternative solution given their method if mailing failed twice. I was told “we sent it to your address to on file” I dont have issues getting mail ag my address. There is an FAQ for “if you did not receive your mailer” makes me wonder if Im not the only one to have this issue. I went from being one of the first people to use the platform and it was free. Now Im paying and watching the customer service go downhill. Am looking into other options but I prepaid for a year. Disappointed doesnt begin to express my feelings about this app.

I had the app for almost 4 months before I was able to finally get epcs gold linked so that I could send scheduled drugs. During all of this time, I kept asking for customer service and all you get is emails back-and-forth, which just confirm things you’ve already done. I finally got it to work after several months and my phone was stolen. I went to the website tried to figure out how to restore everything on it when you click on the tab for lost phone and restore. It states that you’re not eligible to view this page. I contacted customer service many times over several days. I asked please could I have someone to talk to to walk me through the steps. I was finally told that there is no customer service to make a phone call to, and they kept sending me the same step over and over. Do not waste your time with this application, especially if you need to use it for scheduled drugs because it is the most complicated ridiculous system I’ve ever seen. And if you have a problem, no one will get back to you.

1/5A nice interface, but not a lot else
I want to start off by stating that I really wanted this app to work. The app has a clean and easy interface, but unfortunately that’s where the pros end. I kept getting an error when trying to set up EPCS. I wanted to call support, but I found out they no longer have a phone support line and instead have to leave a support ticket. This usually isn’t an issue, but their support staff took about 2 days each reply and their responses were very generic like “try logging out and logging back in” or “try deleting and reinstalling the app”. After almost 2 weeks of these responses, support recommended deleting my account and re-registering. To add on to this, a feature I was excited to use was the integrated PMP, but I later found out that they don’t support my state, but you couldn’t find this out until after you pay for an entire year of the software. After all of this, I decided to cut my losses and go with another eprescribing software, MDToolbox, it isn’t as pretty, but it works, has integrated PMP, phone support, has other features iPrescribe didn’t have like ePA, costs about the same as iPrescribe, and only took 1 day to get fully set up with EPCS. I really hope iPrescribe changes for the better, because many of my colleagues have used it in the past with success, but as it currently stands I personally cannot recommend using them.

1/5Needs a serious overhaul
Edit to reflect recent update: App has not worked since it was recently updated. I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, updated my phone, reached out to support (with no response) and it adds every prescription to “pending” but will never send the prescription - even if you sign and approve it. Please fix this app! It is unusable now at this point. Please please please fix the app. The website is not user friendly, so the prescribers in our office all rely on the app. The most significant problem is that when you DC a med, it keeps showing up in the patient’s active medication list. You can try over and over to discontinue the medication but it won’t disappear from their medication list. Another issue is how many reports and complaints we get from pharmacies and patients that the prescription never actually goes through despite it looking like is was successfully sent on our end. These are major issues and we have tried to submit help requests with these issues without response.

3/5Too many clicks,update issues
Previous version worked very well. New updated versions seems to have a different workflow. Excessive clicks to affirm I want to send a rx and warnings about the pharmacy benefits/cost of drug. Wish I could turn that off. Why a signature password and a signing password and a login password? Too many passwords to remember and update every 4 months. Also, you must keep a separate record of rxs bc there is no way to export the data if you wanted to send a medicine history. Since I presently have a need to have comprehensive rx records available so that my practice can be temporarily managed by others, I have no choice but to sign on to an r copia account so I don’t have to manually review And record every single prescription. An extra 800$ for r copia and it’s user interface was terrible last time I checked. Also since the update , customer support is backed up for days.

Now all customer service is via the internet by sending messages and the responses strike me as scripted. For more than a month I have tried to add on the capacity to prescribe controlled substances and have not received the mailer. After 2 failed mailings, I was told to just order another one. Really? There was mo acknowledgment of the need inconvenience to me or alternative solution given their method if mailing failed twice. I was told “we sent it to your address to on file” I dont have issues getting mail ag my address. There is an FAQ for “if you did not receive your mailer” makes me wonder if Im not the only one to have this issue. I went from being one of the first people to use the platform and it was free. Now Im paying and watching the customer service go downhill. Am looking into other options but I prepaid for a year. Disappointed doesnt begin to express my feelings about this app.",

          "body": "I had the app for almost 4 months before I was able to finally get epcs gold linked so that I could send scheduled drugs. During all of this time, I kept asking for customer service and all you get is emails back-and-forth, which just confirm things you’ve already done. I finally got it to work after several months and my phone was stolen. I went to the website tried to figure out how to restore everything on it when you click on the tab for lost phone and restore. It states that you’re not eligible to view this page. I contacted customer service many times over several days. I asked please could I have someone to talk to to walk me through the steps. I was finally told that there is no customer service to make a phone call to, and they kept sending me the same step over and over. Do not waste your time with this application, especially if you need to use it for scheduled drugs because it is the most complicated ridiculous system I’ve ever seen. And if you have a problem, no one will get back to you.",

          "title": "A nice interface, but not a lot else",
          "body": "I want to start off by stating that I really wanted this app to work. The app has a clean and easy interface, but unfortunately that’s where the pros end. I kept getting an error when trying to set up EPCS. I wanted to call support, but I found out they no longer have a phone support line and instead have to leave a support ticket. This usually isn’t an issue, but their support staff took about 2 days each reply and their responses were very generic like “try logging out and logging back in” or “try deleting and reinstalling the app”. After almost 2 weeks of these responses, support recommended deleting my account and re-registering. To add on to this, a feature I was excited to use was the integrated PMP, but I later found out that they don’t support my state, but you couldn’t find this out until after you pay for an entire year of the software. After all of this, I decided to cut my losses and go with another eprescribing software, MDToolbox, it isn’t as pretty, but it works, has integrated PMP, phone support, has other features iPrescribe didn’t have like ePA, costs about the same as iPrescribe, and only took 1 day to get fully set up with EPCS. I really hope iPrescribe changes for the better, because many of my colleagues have used it in the past with success, but as it currently stands I personally cannot recommend using them.",

          "body": "Edit to reflect recent update: App has not worked since it was recently updated. I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, updated my phone, reached out to support (with no response) and it adds every prescription to “pending” but will never send the prescription - even if you sign and approve it. Please fix this app! It is unusable now at this point. Please please please fix the app. The website is not user friendly, so the prescribers in our office all rely on the app. The most significant problem is that when you DC a med, it keeps showing up in the patient’s active medication list. You can try over and over to discontinue the medication but it won’t disappear from their medication list. Another issue is how many reports and complaints we get from pharmacies and patients that the prescription never actually goes through despite it looking like is was successfully sent on our end. These are major issues and we have tried to submit help requests with these issues without response.",

          "body": "Previous version worked very well. New updated versions seems to have a different workflow. Excessive clicks to affirm I want to send a rx and warnings about the pharmacy benefits/cost of drug. Wish I could turn that off. Why a signature password and a signing password and a login password? Too many passwords to remember and update every 4 months. Also, you must keep a separate record of rxs bc there is no way to export the data if you wanted to send a medicine history. Since I presently have a need to have comprehensive rx records available so that my practice can be temporarily managed by others, I have no choice but to sign on to an r copia account so I don’t have to manually review And record every single prescription. An extra 800$ for r copia and it’s user interface was terrible last time I checked. Also since the update , customer support is backed up for days.",
