  1. 5/5Motivational Run App

Really cool app for tracking your run progress. It definitely motivates me to run more and greater distances to “conquer” more land. Gave it 5 stars because it is a cool concept but has some room for improvement and some fixes it can make when navigating through the app which I am sure will improve over time. Wish there was a way to fortify your territories, especially since I will go out of my way to run on land that has not been claimed, just for someone to decide to run the exact same route 2 days after me. Also, if there was a mode to not compete and just monitor your territories, especially since I like to run in new places that I travel to and it would be nice to look back at all the land I ran in other countries even if someone did take it over after and I cannot easily go back to reclaim it.

  2. 5/5Excellent app

I’m a sucker for apps like this gamify activities, and this one not met, but exceeded all my expectations. It’s a lot of fun, it has not only gotten me back into running, but is getting me out there running in places I’ve never run before, and at greater distances than I was doing before. I’m not the type who actively enjoys exercising, I usually have to force myself to do it, but this app has me actually looking forward to my runs. The app itself is fun and easy to use, and there’s great social aspects to it that I wasn’t expecting. Plus, the one time I had a question to clarify something, I emailed the team and they got back to me very quickly and were extremely helpful. All around, I’m very satisfied with this app.

  3. 2/5Cool app but needs better support

I used this app quite a few times. I love the idea as I am very active and I run a lot, I’m outside putting in miles. I recently went to Norway too for a solo camping trip. I did 103km hike with 4000 m of elevation gain. The total area I conquered was 124sq miles. I crossed rivers, I climbed mountains, I even swam in glacier lakes. I had to keep my phone offline the whole duration, this app drained my battery. Which is fine, I bought a portable battery for this reason. To baby my phone the whole time. I was excited to post my accomplishment! I envisioned the dev team watching my hike saying “he will be one of if not the largest land conqueror in a single run we have in the platform”. But, when I posted it loaded to the app but didn’t count.. I screenshotted my achievement and sent it over and requested it to be looked at. I didn’t get an answer for a while, someone said they would check into it. I connected my Strava but it still didn’t work. Kept getting a “didn’t pass manual review”. I moved on, and figured hiking wasn’t allowed. Yesterday, I went for a cool ~14km run and it was going to be 4.5-5 miles of area. I had my phone data and Strava running at the same time. But when I published the run it didn’t upload again! I even changed the title of the run when I published it. As you can imagine my frustration, I deleted the app. It’s a great idea, but the developer team needs to ensure each activity is logged properly.

  4. 5/5Real Motivation

I have tried (and failed) running and walking too many times to count. Running to accumulate miles or train for a race feels tedious and uncomfortable. Walking feels slow and pointless. But using the INTVl app has proven fun and motivating since I began using it a few weeks ago. With the app, I actually look forward to time to exercise, and I’m actually looking for excuses to go longer distances (and capture more territory). For someone who enjoys strategy games, this has been the secret sauce to getting me on the road, exploring and appreciating new places, and pushing myself harder than I otherwise would. A huge thank you to the developers of this app for thoughtfully building something so fun and motivational!

  5. 5/5Motivating

I’ve always been into working out at the gym but always felt like i was missing something to complete my workout regimen. I knew whati was missing was running and getting some cardio workout included in my routine. I tried running in my neighborhood but found it boring. Downloading this app i feel like it’s motivated me to run more and run further than i would by myself! Tracking how much territory you took over and trying to find new territory’s to take over, and people taking over your territory makes me wanna re run some old routes just to recapture my old territory. Strongly recommend if you wanna get into cardio exercise but have been having trouble keeping interest!
