  1. 4/5A little clunky, but worked in a pinch

    I needed a few books converted that I only had in epub format, but wanted to read on my kindle Paperwhite at the beach (sun and water and the iPad don’t mix, obviously). Since I didn’t have access to a laptop, I scrounged around the App Store for a solution and stumbled upon this and several others... since this was free and had better reviews than most, I took a gamble. I will say it’s chock full of advertising, which you’d expect with a free app, but it did the job converting my epubs to mobi and did it quickly. It’s not exactly intuitive, and some of it isn’t in English. The conversion itself didn’t take any time, but figuring out how to get the converted book to my kindle took some fiddling. So did trying to close out of some of the ads, which had those gawdawful timers on them. It’s easy to put in kindle, just not readily apparent. Am considering either upgrading this app or buying this persons other, premium app. I have zero idea on what the differences between the two apps might be, but I’d be willing to spend a few bucks just to make the advertising go away.

    Converts my epubs to mobi on my iPad so I can send books to my Kindle when away. It isn't sending the cover of the book, so I need to figure out if I can do that.

    Just trying but nice visuals. Worked on an ePub. Not an easy procedure, but follow steps logically (move a book to file folder - on apple mobile devices; from there you can import into the app. Select book and at bottom choose, if wanting a Kindle ok version .mobi. You are asked a question about reminding you to look in the apps converted folder and then continue. Watch an ad & x when you see one to go back to app. A question about giving praise is asked. If you do, app works if not, it did not! Then you open in kindle somehow & I thought only a few pages downloaded. Give it time then go to location in the menu - left side- & our in last number of book location you see. Text appears. I did it a few time in different locations, & eventually it was all there). May have missed something to share, but now happy. I can use my Kindle to read outside!!!

  4. 1/5It converts files very quickly, but the output is a mangled unusable mess

    Pretty much the title. I foolishly bought this converter because I have some PDF files that I want to convert to Kindle or Mobi formats. I tried one other converter prior to this and it would crash out and not convert at all. I was pleasantly surprised when this app was able to convert the PDF at amazingly fast speed. The problem is every single image has been removed, and although some of the words of the text are retained, not all of them are...and they are jumbled into chaos because no formatting is retained. It’s like you pay a billion dollars to fund the genome sequencing project and then have the computer alphabetize the results. Meaningless garbage. I highly recommend you don’t waste your time on this app. I have the professional version and I’ll be deleting it and trying to forget I ever purchased it.

  5. 1/5It gets the job done, with great difficulty

    I don’t mind the pop up ads. The developer needs to make money. But but but… the “x” to close the ad is so tiny and placed so close to the edge of the iPhone 11 screen that it is quite literally impossible to close the ad. I am required to repeatedly force quit the app and restart it, and try again in hopes of loading an ad that has a working close button. This is a huge annoyance over time, and probably not the way the dev intended for it to work. Other than that, the app works. I hope this can and will be fixed. Otherwise, I’ll start looking for another solution.
