3/5Good and getting better
Overall a good revision of the app, but some simple and usual elements are changed or missing. I know I’m not alone in wanting the ability to ignore users. The IRC world is rampant with ugliness and without ignore, you can’t truly shut it out at times. Please add the ability to choose to turn off the Slap function. I can’t tel you how many times I’ve gone to a user, wanted to see their WhoIs, only to have that menu jump and in turn, making me select the Slap function. I don’t slap people. I don’t like violence. This seems like an easy ‘re-add’, as the function was a toggle selection in the previous version. Lastly, there have even times that I select the theme (always Light) only to launch the app and have to select it again. This even comes when setting the selection to my iPads default theme. Just a simple bug there. Again, good work. I just know it can always get better! Thanks!

1/5Junk
ITS A SCAM Doesn’t have ignore feature, doesn’t have ability to type in color, can’t make font bigger than 20 so it’s tiny on phone screen, developer response “I’ve only made enough money to buy a slice of pizza” don’t waste your money find something else, even turboirc has more features and it hasn’t been updated in years, developer got mad when email complaints came in and pulled the older version but not until he pulled all its features. Paid for that one and he pulled it, nothing to say he won’t pull this one after he gets more pizza money. ITS A SCAM Update : went to support and asked questions about it not having a feature and was berated and kicked out of the room, I can see now why it only has 3 stars, I was willing to give it a shot but if the developer is condescending and has a “it’s my app and I do what I want” attitude and berates and allows people to be berated in the so called “support” room what does that tell you? If I could afford the 20$ I now know I wouldn’t pay it FIND ANOTHER, ANY OTHER APP OR PROGRAM

1/5Expensive, deceptive (and nearly unusable)
This app requires a license. You get a free 14 day license, but this should be made clear prior to installation. Not doing so is deceptive and rude. Lifetime license is $20 at the time of writing, subscription is less (but who wants to pay indefinitely for an IRC client?). The biggest problem and why I said it was nearly unusable in the title is that, through no fault of the developer, you cannot stay connected unless the app has focus and does not go to sleep. You will not receive messages for more than 30 seconds if the app is running in the background or if the screen turns off. For an IRC client, this limitation makes it impractical at best and utterly useless at worst. This is Apple’s fault, not the developer, but it still means the app gets less stars. Lack of functionality is relevant no matter whose fault it is. If you are going to do nothing but talk in IRC channels the entire time you are connected, and you don’t mind paying heftily for an IRC client, then this is the app for you. Otherwise… use a different device. Oh, and complain to Apple, because their limitation is ridiculous. Edit: the apps functionality and usability is relevant no matter whose fault it is. No one and no thing is above criticism. Professional this apps developer is not. Thank you for providing further evidence about what kind of person you are. It’s always amusing how the people with the least understanding are the ones most certain they do and the first to accuse everyone else.

5/5Stable and Solid
I’ve been a user since late V1 into V2. While the move to V3 had a few bumps, the developers have been really responsive it getting it almost back to all the features of V2 all the while making it a lot more stable. When I did have an issue with iPad view support very early on in V3, they had a patch out within a day! I’d still like an ignore feature like V2 had, and there’s some wonkiness with the “whois/whowas” with saved conversations that can be a little annoying. But overall, I’ve used a lot of IRC clients for iOS (Turbo, Colloquy, LimeChat, etc), and this has routinely been the most stable and feature-rich among them. I’ve come to consistently rely on it and am grateful it keeps getting better. Thanks!

-
3.10.5
• Added a setting to disable all backgrounding. Normally, Igloo stays open in the background (though Apple stops networking after 30 seconds). With backgrounding disabled, the app will fully close when backgrounded. This is helpful if you prefer starting fresh each launch or want to prevent scrollback buildup without manually force-closing the app.
-

• Added QR Sync feature to sync your networks and settings with Igloo on other devices and platforms.
-

• Made a small change to custom uploader authentication. If your uploader expects "Bearer token", Bearer is no longer default, so you'll have to add "Bearer" before your set value now. This is because a lot of providers use different types in the Authorization header, or sometimes no type at all.
-
3.5.2
• FIxed a bug where setting saved message limit to 0 wasn't disabling saving messages
-
3.6
• Added support for znc.in/self-message • Added an option to duplicate server • Changed the slap to use the random latin fish names like v2
